Well, maybe they should drop the prices

I don't think the price has all that much to do with it.. People are going digital. Its that simple.. Younger people I talk to look at me like I am crazy when I talk about buying a CD :lol

I talked to some 20 somethings the other day.. They stated they have never purchased a CD for themselves..

More and more people I know are going Digital download. Get the movie faster (two weeks ahead of physical release) and takes up no house space.

Me... I gotta have the physical media and the best quality possible.

You are correct, except you never really own streaming content. I went digital also but I always own a physical disc as well, and thats transformed to digital and then the discs are stored.

The only reason studios want digital is it controls the content to their specifications. People want digital because they are lazy.

In the end streaming hurts the consumer.

Sent from the inside of a giant slug in outer space.....

Speaking of cheapass (or greedy) Disney, I discovered yesterday why Disney/Marvel/LFL movies aren't available in 4K on the iTunes Store. Seems all other studios agreed to charge the same for 4K as they did for 1080p but Disney held out for more.

Guess they're still holding out!

No matter, I've been able to pick up a boatload of non-Disney 4K films when they've been on sale for well under $10. Now I just need a UHD TV...

That's not the reason. They're coming out with their own streaming service, so they're keeping their movies for themselves.

And this is why you calibrate your tv

Re: The Blu-Ray Upcoming, News & Info Thread

Aren’t all the MCU movies upscaled to 4K I believe so and they certainly don’t have the IMAX ratio for the movies that used it.

All really cheap from the biggest entertainment juggernaut in the world a damn shame really but lol at people pointing to Comcast/Universal as the Disney killer yeah good luck with that lol

Regardless that Iron Man 4K is bought and then I will also buy the 8k when that is released lol

Re: The Blu-Ray Upcoming, News & Info Thread

Yep, the trilogy Cap got the first 4K treatment, now Iron Man, and then to be followed Thor.

According to the rumor mill, as with the Captain America Trilogy, will be SteelBooks for the Iron Man trilogy and Thor trilogy as well...

I hope so. Other than Ragnarok, I don't have Steels for any of those movies.
