For any that are interested, there are EIGHT Pixar 4K Steelbooks (Brave, Cars, Cars 2, Finding Dory, Finding Nemo, The Good Dinosaur, Inside Out, Ratatouille) coming out at Best Buy on 9/10. It looks like Disney is trying to push out as many of these as they can before Disney+ goes live.

That seems to be what they're doing. I saw that only about 4 MCU movies will be on DisneyPlus at launch, so maybe they try to give us that Infinity Saga box set I've been curious about.

I see a lot of horror titles doing this.. Especially when its Arrow... I guess they don't think there market for these type of films to be given the full 4k home video treatment.

Holy crap Dolby Vision IW looked amazing through Vudu. I don't think I'll be able to watch the stupid disc ever again, lol.

The thing about that is, I'm much more excited to buy a 4K disc of a movie that was shot on actual film, rather than digitally.

Give me Star Wars and Empire, give me Raiders, give me Jaws, and yes, give me The Thing and AWIL. I'd buy all those without a moment's hesitation.

When it comes to classic catalog titles I struggle perpetually with what exactly are the end results i’m looking for.

Modern movies by all means please make them sharp looking for me.

But do want my movies from the 1950’s to 1990’s to look pristine and super sharp or do I want them no sharper than 1080p or in some cases where sci-fi/horror is involved no sharper than 480p.

Do I want to preserve the low tech aesthetics from the era where they came from or do I need an authentic grindhouse kung fu movie to be 8K HDR to show details that were previously hidden?

Do I need Bill Murray’s Meatballs or My Bodyguard in era authentic 480p or modern 8K?

I don’t know lol
