I’ve been saving my Amazon Reward points for the 820.

I already own 1 and love it. I would not mind having a backup as I am afraid that one day there will be an announcement that nobody is going to make 4k players anymore :(
This!! :lol

When it was on sale for $350 a few weeks ago I too was so tempted to buy a 2nd 820 as a backup...

I still have the top Sony VCR from the late 90's (not the crazy $1k SVHS model, but almost did get it) they made before they started becoming junk. Still in my A/V rack and hooked up to my Yamaha RX-A6A. Works great. And I have a decent JVC as a back up... :cuckoo:
Along with a Pioneer LD player too... :slap (But no backup).

So I thought that the Sony mini LED Bravia 9 was going to be the LED TV to finally bring me back over from OLED….

But nope!

Bravia 9 still insane bright image quality but **** that blooming no matter how minor.

Great 2nd TV though.
The only LED that will ever surpass OLED is MicroLED.

But that looks to be pretty far off into the future.

If that day arrives then no one would be making 4k discs anymore.

You guys know i’m a hard-core physical media collector for the big movies but if you still don’t own the Rocky 8 movie set run, don’t walk, run to fandango at home (Vudu) right now because it’s on sale for $20 freaking dollars, that is $2.50 per movie!

I tried twice now to buy the physical discs and I will try again in the future once manufacturing has fixed those egregious problems with the box set but for now I am happy with this digital purchase.

Thanks for the heads up, I jumped on this deal. Earlier this month I was in Philly for the RockyFest movie marathon at the Philadelphia Film Society, I bailed after part 4 but it was a great time seeing them all back to back on the big screen.
