I first I didn’t like fennec being there it should’ve just been his holiness badass there alone but what the hell he can have his side piece there why not.

At least it’s not Andy Cohen next to him.
Badass villains need their throne candy.

I think she adds to the image, the way she's sitting there, holding her gun, looking at Fett like she wants to ride him like a bantha. It's hot.

She doesn't look at him like that anymore in the BoBF. 😔 Can't blame her tho.

Watching ROTJ right now. Fett flies from the sail barge (with his gun already out), over to the skiff to try and shoot Luke point blank (who's main ability is to swing at people within arms length). Surprise surprise, his gun gets cut in half as soon as he lands. Classic badass Fett.
The storyboarded (and perhaps partly shot - I think it was stuntman Dickie Beers who said he was surprised how short the battle was based on what was filmed) Boba battle in ROTJ would have been cooler - hand cut off, Chewie shot, backpack sliced etc.

What else was in that longer sequence is unknown. Certainly might have been a better Boba send-off that what ended up onscreen, which was more fitting for a random Jabba goon than the ESB badass.

Can you imagine if that extended battle existed and they finally release it into an updated SE.

I’m surprised that they didn’t do it for BOBF.

Holy crap can you imagine if they had opened the show with the extended battle and him falling into the pit and then cutting to later with him still inside it.

It would have been nice to hear the rest of the battle carrying on and the explosion of the sail barge from inside the sarlacc as he tried to fight his way out as a little extra added flavour. So many little things could have been added to sweeten the pot.

But instead we got the extended scene of Daniel Logan running to get his father's helmet, lol.

Yep 99% of Star Wars villains end up reformed at this point. Even Darth Maul who literally looked like Satan himself had a touching "save the Chosen One" moment in Obi-Wan's arms! :slap

Boba Fett was such a great unrepentantly "in it for the money" counterpoint to Han and Lando with awesome unique armor and he's now been robbed of both those aspects.
I've always thought it goes beyond even being unrepentant about the brutal necessities of bounty hunting for the money. I interpreted it as he actually *enjoyed* his brutal job.

One of the many questions we first asked about Boba was what those braids around his shoulder were. And we got a very unambiguous answer: they were braided Wookiee scalps, worn as trophies from some of his kills. He not only kills as part of his job, but there's an element of pride and the intimidation of rubbing your face in it by wearing trophies of his victims.

Lines up pretty damn well with a guy who initially seemed to only begrudgingly accept the condition of no disintegrations. Filoni has spent more than a decade (remember: well *before* Disney came along) trying to pretend that Boba Fett was some reluctant bounty hunter who never actually wanted to pull the trigger. I've always called obvious bull**** on that, and always will.

My low opinion of Filoni should be well-known by now. 🤨

I think @Wor-Gar or someone brought up the fact that Disney keeps neutering bad guys or making them 'complex' -- but as you point out, it's not just The Mouse.

Stories and myths, even the most fantastical -- are there to reflect the world back at us, maybe even serve as cautionary tales sometimes. There are bad people in the world who do bad things. But lately it seems all I'm supposed to do is feel sorry for villains and their bad childhoods.

Don't even get me started on 'poor' Darth Maul. 😐

Din: Jawas strip his ride for parts. He wordlessly starts disintegrating them.

Boba: Tusken Raiders drag him behind a Bantha, tie him to a post, beat and enslave him. He saves their kid's life, joins the tribe, helps them fight a crime syndicate and learns their ways so he can trip balls and dance with them.
