Plus, it's Saturday! :)

This is nice, but the show still sucks. I've tried watching this "Boba Fett" show more than once and it's gotten worse each time exponentially. All that happens is I notice more flaws. I'm not trying to have a go at you here, but I don't understand how anyone who likes classic Fett can be OK with whatever this is. And I know you are obviously a huge fan of the character. I wanted to like this, I really did.

I seriously can't even think of a single thing I have liked about this show two episodes in except for that vicious looking wookiee. I want to see more of him.

Probably in Kenobi then, I’m sure we’ll also get flashbacks in that during meditation or something, they fought in the comics and Obi-Wan gave him that scar on his face.

Grateful for anything new. ANYTHING!

The EU set such a good precedent for what felt right that these deviations just feel hollow. Not only hollow, but hopeless too.

Not sure why there cannot be joy in media as everything is depressive and world ending. I miss the joyous celebrations at the end of ANH, ROTJ and can even point to Die Hard. At least NWH ended on a positive note.

You should love Matrix Resurrections then. :cool:

So when he was still under George Lucas’s wing? Filoni is hardly solely to blame there. Also Boba in TCW was a child, his only real goal was revenge on Mace Windu (which he obviously never achieved).

Plus he’s fully willing to deliver a kidnapped young girl to an old sleezy guy for what can only be assumed to he nefarious purposes, just for some money. This implies that if he takes a job he does what he needs to do to complete said job.

From what I've read and heard, Lucas gave Filoni a surprising level of latitude and autonomy on TCW. But you'd be correct to assert that he certainly could've vetoed the direction young Boba was being taken. Here's the key, though: Lucas isn't involved anymore and we're getting an adult version of the Fett morality from TCW.

If Fett was only a reluctant killer as a kid, that'd be one thing; it wouldn't take much to have a storyline about how he then became ruthless and embraced his bounty hunter persona. But BoBF is reverting him back to having a moral compass, showing mercy, and prioritizing respect. The guy who decided to wear Wookiee braid trophies and got a rep for disintegrations is delaying his escape to ask a Rodian if he wants to be set free. He's being tortured and humiliated by Tuskens and then embracing them.

As far as your TCW clip, there's another one from the show that better addresses your assertion that Boba wanted revenge on Mace and was also willing to do whatever it takes to complete the job. Here's how he acted when both of those aspects were combined:

Kenobi has has the potential to be great however judging by the drop off from Mando to Fett I'm now more skeptical.
Well they've already got the footage for the dance scene in Kenobi...

With HC returning i’m thinking most of his screen time is going to be without a helmet or else why bother even bringing him back.

He’ll probably land on Tatooine and immediately start whining as soon as his foot touches sand.

Then he will befriend the same Tusken clan that Boba Fett is hanging out with.

I bet Vader gave them that high end black tent lol

Holy crap imagine if it was Vader that taught them how to fight like that!
Well if he didn't teach them how to fight I bet the dance was his. Hmm maybe if Vader took of his helmet that would explain them keeping Fett around. 2 hardboiled scarred eggheads

We'll get to see Vader paying reparations to the Tuskens

It's easy to make Vader a sympathetic figure. He's constantly in pain, he's alone, he's got mommy issues, and his boss is always trying to kill him in order to test him or replace him. It's a pathetic existence really. No wonder he probably enjoys inflicting pain and killing people.

Boba Fett doesn't need to be sympathetic, but for some reason they're trying to turn him into Vader with the constant dreams and possible daddy issues. He should have been like The Man with No Name, likable but ruthless and a killer when crossed.

His OG voice made Boba Fett sound like a savage and a straight up villain.

TM sounds like a man just doing his job.

OG Fett - WHAT IF HE DOESN'T SURVIVVVVVVVVE. HE'S WORTH A LLLOT TO MMEEE

Fennec -🥰😘🤤

TM - What if he doesn't survive? It'll hunt my dreams...😓

Fennec -🥱😒

I like Wingreen's sinister voice. Sounds like someone that would do anything to get to his bounty. Then use their skin for oils like in a Criminal Minds episode. :devil

This show reminds me of how they ruined The Lone Ranger movie and the lead, John Reid aka The Lone Ranger. They turned him into some character that was honestly embarrassing as a lead.

Yeah. ESB Boba was the best.

The way Wingreen said "What if he doesn't survive. He's worth a lot to me." was very threatening, particularly when he's getting in Vader's face. That's balls.

Wingreen = scary

Morrison = pedestrian

Maybe Wingreen should voice Morrison, that would help the show.
