Yeah, I know that they are a super casual with age in SW, but she should be older than Boba!

My "No-Prise" explanation is that Hyperdrive does weird things with aging. Sometimes it makes you slightly younger, sometimes slightly older. That's the best I've got.

I remember once reading an excellent and very sad story about this cyborg guy who waited bar, and his favorite customer was this spacer girl who aged extremely slowly due to her being in hyperspace most of the time. She would not enter an actual relationship with any man, because she saw no point - that man would be dead next time she came back to that place, as perhaps 100 years would have passed in real time. So she didnt get attached, and she would only have *** with any man once to make sure it stayed like that. And being a cyborg, he was almost immortal too.

So she and the cyborg bartender did this, and he fell in love with her but of course this was a no-go for anything further.

He stayed at that bar for hundreds of years, waiting to see her again when he could. She would be around for a day or two, then gone again. Then decades would pass as he waited. It was all very sad.

And yet at the same time, I'd want to say Dude, don't be a simp. Galaxy full of women out there.

Or Boba could pull a reverse Trojan horse trap, regift a fully trained Rancor to the Pykes, and SURPRISE! Boba comes out of the Rancor, Ace Ventura style.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am pretty easy to please. But BoBF is the most boring show I have made myself watch since TWD season 9. The train hijacking in episode 2 was cool though. :dunno
Holy crap, yes TWD just needs to end already. Did you see that Season 10 is now THREE parts?!?!? So they're going to draw it out even longer than I thought. But yes, BoBF is right up there...

I really like that Wor-Gar asked me what my "#1 SW Timeline" was. Because by saying "timeline" instead of "canon" it really made me realize that one version of the story doesn't trump another, even in the "official" sense. There's just different timelines of the "official" story and I personally see that there are three:

1. Original Lucas Timeline (Theatrical OT + EU) 1977-1996
2. Revised Lucas Timeline (OT:SE + PT + TCW +EU) 1997-2013
3. Disney Timeline (OT:SE + PT + Rebels + ST + Solo/RO + Mando/BOBF) 2014-Present

And while the original Lucas Timeline is what I consider to be the true foundation and that which everything else is measured against

:duff

It's the new trendy world-view -- that is, 'timelines' instead of hard canon.

Like you, I have my personal preference mostly due to when I grew up with Star Wars, but I can find aspects of enjoyment and cool characters in the other 'lines'.

I think she'd probably be about the same age as Boba. Around 40. Maybe a little younger. She and Han are the same age right?
Well Emilia Clarke is 35 so not much of a stretch to believe she's @40. I don't think we need to sweat such details - Favreau, Filoni and Rodriguez certainly aren't lol...

Yeah they casted Morrison as Fett so they have already made it very clear that when it comes to continuity they don't give a ****. At this point I hope that when Emilia Clarke makes her grand entrance she flies in on a dragon and barbecues the scooter gang.

Get ready for the Water Merchant to be the main criminal mastermind behind everything.
I bet the lizard was trying to guide Fett to unlock the key to thawing the glaciers under the sand and restoring Tatooine's oceans. But he was so stupid that when he finally arrived at the Tree of Visions and saw all the oceans he just broke off a branch to use as a club and called it a day.

"Start the reactor Fett, start the reactor..."

Yep, timelines indeed.

Which is actually very freeing to me and saves me from having to constantly re-evaluate "canon" and what "true" Star Wars is with each and every new movie or show. I'm sure this will sound strange (forget "sound," I'm sure it *is* strange, lol) but often times when I watch something that doesn't fit with the original OT in mind (the PT, BOBF, you name it) or consider purchasing a figure from said movie or show I almost have an existential crisis where I suddenly wonder if I'm betraying all that SW is to me, my childhood, etc. :lol

But going forward I'm just going to see Star Wars as being like Batman, LOTR, basically any other story that retreads a lot of the same story elements but in completely separate "universes." LOTR cartoon is different than the books which is different than the PJ movies. A character in one version might be lame in another version and vice versa. Same with 50 million Batman movies rehashing a lot of the same origin and villain stuff but otherwise being completely different. No one who buys an Arnold Schwarzenegger Freeze for the lolz has to suddenly have some crisis as to whether he "counts" as being part of the Nolan Trilogy. Or if you like the look of Leto Joker does that replace your appreciation of Nicholson or Ledger. Heck no.

So thank you Wor-Gar for stating SW in terms that allows me to do what I've been trying to do from the very beginning, enjoy all versions of SW to varying degrees without being pigeon-holed into having to decide which is the one "true" version of the Saga. :yess:

When Qira shows up she'll be another strong female stealing the SW spotlight. It'll happen at just the perfect time and unexpectedly.

We'll get Boba looking bad *** and acting all proud and regal riding his new pet Rancor, down the streets of Mos Espa with his Vespa gang following in tail. And just then Qira will show up riding her Krayt Dragon while being surrounded by a punch of actual dangerous thugs on proper speeder/swoop bikes, belittling and telling Boba how cute he looks on his little guy with his shiny teen power Ranger crew....

Disney SW baby... :lol

This made me laugh. But its an excellent point.

We've had it easier a bit with Batman because there's a natural "universe" to separate them -- Burton's World, Nolan World, etc. It was harder with Star Wars, especially when Lucas was controlling everything -- OT and PT. Disney gave us a kind of "new universe" break, except that Lucas kind of remains involved here and there, its all very unclear. So timelines kind of help separate the variant Lucas's out of the equation.

It works for me too!!!

I’m now getting stressed out leading up to the episodes lol
I can't wait. Either I'll get *&^%slapped with something so excruciatingly bad that I get the jolt of a a brain meltdown (but it's such a relief when it ends like the dentist torture scene in Marathon Man) or even better -

it will be surprisingly good; setting me up for the false hope that I didn't blow money on a pricey HT set. A set I may never be able to look at without thinking "Well, he was good in Mando, a d@mn shame Boba got morphed into Uncle Fester; and to add insult to injury the Hefner bathrobe wasn't included".

I'd forgive a lot if the Marshall showed up; Olyphant's got the acting chops to make even &^% lines work. But afraid it's more likely it'll be more nausea with kiddie bonding scenes.
