I assume this is directed at me, but I never specifically stated that. My point was that based on the info presented we have absolutely no idea who the "crooks" were in the Water Monger vs. Vespa Gang scenario. All we have is an arbitrary number (1300 credits worth of water) that some very well dressed/equipped kids took from a man in very modest attire.
Not directed at you at all. And I agree with you about the ambiguity of who the real crook(s) is based on the limited information Fett had. We can make a safe assumption that the water monger was the crook, but only because we pretty much know the intent of the writers/creators.

Exactly. SUCH lazy and half-baked writing. Did you notice that when the water monger came out of his house to complain to Fett that the two Jawas sitting outside clutched one another and cowered in fear? :rotfl

Jawas aren't afraid of anyone (including Mandalorians) but recoiled from the scary businessman who wanted to legally work the system to turn a profit, lol.

No, his response was valid. I totally understand why anyone would say "nope, I'm out. Got better things to do."

I will keep watching if only because curiosity over what has most recently befallen.... I'll just have to know. I'm like that. I got to know. I salute those with more willpower than that, lol.

"Most of it was on the backlot. I have something else in the Volume, but I also don’t know how much I can say. You can assume my character might be in more stuff. Yeah, I don’t disappear. (Laughs.) I don’t even know if I’m allowed to say that."

I have so many shows and movies to catch up on, I'm really questioning why I'm using my very limited time for watching, on BoBF.

The Vespa gang not only had shiny rides and fancy clothes, they also have voluntary cybernetic transplants. The "sharpshooter" with the cyber eye even explicitly tells Fett at the end of the episode that he *paid a lot* for that eye. But he and his gang are supposed to be too poor to afford water, thus being sympathetic in their actions. Ridiculous.

BTW, the notion of there being an implied logic that stealing water was paying for their expensive, polished, and well-maintained stuff is laughably absurd. The water monger even told Fett that previous daimyos had not allowed any stealing of his inventory on their watch. So, did these cyperpunk dweebs get and mod their Vespas, and also make themselves cyborgs, all during Fett's one week on the throne? GTFO.

If stealing a week's worth of water could pay for all of that, just imagine how many of those people lining the streets would've been rushing that big water tower that came crashing down during the lame chase scene. A water monger would be living like a king.

The complete disregard for plot logic would be fine if it was limited to this Vespa gang/water monger storyline, but the lazy writing has plagued the entire show thus far. There are countless examples of it. All the rationalizations for Vespa gang contradictions fall apart just by paying attention to the stupid story itself.

In fact, one could go so far as to say that the point has been made in other Star Wars-related media that cybernetic implants are extremely expensive. VERY.

IIRC Dengar has had problems with this in the past, although this memory of my having read that somewhere is admittedly nebulous.

Beilert Valance has big problems with this. His stuff is always on the fritz, and can he replace it? Not today. His main weapon is on the fritz half the time. Sometimes he only finds out in the middle of a firefight. He got most of those implants working for the Empire, and now that he's no longer a Stormtrooper this is kind of a problem for him.

I am sure there are other examples. It aint cheap. These hoodrats sporting all this expensive stuff does not add up, not on Tatooine it doesnt.

Cliegg Lars could afford a fancy hover chair but NOT a prosthetic leg. That's how expensive new limbs are. Drash's gang must be absolutely loaded.

That and the fact that he went to a crime lord to voice his grievances lol...

And to think, they trashed Ailyn Vel and Mirta Gev for this bish and her homies.

I have said this before, mostly in relation to other franchises but it applies here too: What purpose does the development team think they are serving when they go out of their WAY to rile up and anger an existing fanbase? You want to bring in new fans? They dont care about your stupid new s***, and now you went and pissed off the *actual fans* who were wanting to see characters they know and love, too. These characters and stories are beloved over a span of decades for a reason. They are classics.

I well remember when the casting of Topher Grace as Venom-in-name-only about tore the Spider-Man fanbase in half. And what ended up happening? Was Grace's version lauded and embraced? IT. WAS. NOT. It was a laughingstock, just like this show we discussing now and it helped a lot in crashing S-M3, perhaps the worst Spidey movie EVER and I include crap from the seventies when I say that. [Altho S-M3 had a lot else wrong with it, true enough.] They threw Brock/Venom away, and he did not BEGIN to be redeemed until like twenty years later.

Cool, we can do that with Fett too I guess.

WHY MAKE TRASH WHEN YOU CAN MAKE A CLASSIC?

That and the fact that he went to a crime lord to voice his grievances lol...
But I don't even know who else he could go to, crook or not. Even the mayor is controlled by crime lords. Who would an upstanding water monger of Mos Espa go to for adjudication of his business concerns?

Looking forward to the fan edit that just puts together the flashback scenes in chronological order and then ends it with Boba taking the throne at the end of Mando. If it works, then that can be the book of Boba Fett and I can then imagine that the intervening period before he turns up in Mando season 3 was awesome.

Will probably have to edit out a lot of TM's lines, his smiling and the like a bantha part too unfortunately.

That's it, I'm calling it: Drash is the new leader of Crimson Dawn - these rumors of Qi'ra showing up is pure smokescreen. Drash's red hair is the none-too-subtle clue. This is the SW version of Undercover Boss, but sadly not as entertaining as the Undercover Kylo Ren skit on SNL. :lol

Trick question - there's no such thing as an upstanding water monger of Mos Espa! :lol

If Qi'ra shows up, who are they casting? An aged up Emilia Clarke or somebody else?
