The Vespa gang not only had shiny rides and fancy clothes, they also have voluntary cybernetic transplants. The "sharpshooter" with the cyber eye even explicitly tells Fett at the end of the episode that he *paid a lot* for that eye. But he and his gang are supposed to be too poor to afford water, thus being sympathetic in their actions. Ridiculous.

BTW, the notion of there being an implied logic that stealing water was paying for their expensive, polished, and well-maintained stuff is laughably absurd. The water monger even told Fett that previous daimyos had not allowed any stealing of his inventory on their watch. So, did these cyperpunk dweebs get and mod their Vespas, and also make themselves cyborgs, all during Fett's one week on the throne? GTFO.

If stealing a week's worth of water could pay for all of that, just imagine how many of those people lining the streets would've been rushing that big water tower that came crashing down during the lame chase scene. A water monger would be living like a king.

The complete disregard for plot logic would be fine if it was limited to this Vespa gang/water monger storyline, but the lazy writing has plagued the entire show thus far. There are countless examples of it. All the rationalizations for Vespa gang contradictions fall apart just by paying attention to the stupid story itself.
You must be that guy crying about needing an explanatory scene of either her packing it, or the Ewoks making Leia's Endor dress.. :lol
Nobody cares where they first got the money for their Mods

I can honestly say that I'm looking forward to seeing how they handle the Rancor plot. The Rancor is probably a setup by the Hutts, if for no other reason than because that's what would make Boba look stupidest. :lol

By unflinchingly accepting the "gift" of a man-eating monster from his enemies, and also allowing an unfamiliar rancor keeper guy to come into the palace along with it, Boba comes off looking super ******** when it backfires. And what the first three episodes have taught me is that whatever scenario can make Boba look pathetic, that's the direction it'll go.

The Rancor is going to come out of its tranquilized state and attack Boba. So how will the monster be subdued? Well, I'm hoping the cyberpunk gang will encircle him with their colorful and shiny Vespas and make the Rancor laugh so hard that he can no longer be a vicious creature. :lol

Can't wait for this episode! No joke.

WTF? I'm not crying about needing any explanation. In fact, I was pointing out that plenty of explanation was given in explicit dialogue. The problem is that's it's contradictory. Shouldn't be hard to figure that out.

Fave value ajp. Face. Value. There will be no "awesome surprises" on this show. If they say the Rancor calf is an emotionally complex and loving animal that bonds with the first human it sees then that's exactly what we'll get.

Though it would be hilarious if Trejo commands it to attack Fett in the finale and it obeys. "You really believed that you were the first person it saw and that it had been blindfolded for 20 years until we gave it to you? Machete don't share rancors...now feast on the stupid bald man!" It swallows Fett, then burps.

The greeks would’ve not needed a Trojan Horse with this Fett lol

Though if they did send a Trojan Horse to Fett his reaction would have been "I want to ride it. Training begins today."

Your made up imagined time line created the contradiction that wasn't there.
Then let me spell out for you how the episode itself constructs the timeline so that I don't need to bother imagining one:

1.) Water monger says that no water was stolen when other daimyos had control.

2.) Both the Vespa gang and the water monger explicitly state that *one week's* worth of water was stolen. That's the only amount the water monger is seeking restitution for.

3.) Fett has been in charge during that week.

4.) The Vespa gang is supposed to be sympathetic because they claim to be too poor to afford water since there are no jobs. The implication being that the water monger is ripping people off during tough times.

That's enough info for me to be confident in knowing that their cybernetic implants and shiny Vespas are contradicting the claims of being too poor. And it's more than enough info to know that they didn't afford those things by selling the water they stole from the water monger.

Should be clear enough now.

No, his response was valid. I totally understand why anyone would say "nope, I'm out. Got better things to do."

I will keep watching if only because curiosity over what has most recently befallen.... I'll just have to know. I'm like that. I got to know. I salute those with more willpower than that, lol.
At this point I feel like an abused spouse when it comes to SW. I instinctively flinch every time I see something new.

Exactly. SUCH lazy and half-baked writing. Did you notice that when the water monger came out of his house to complain to Fett that the two Jawas sitting outside clutched one another and cowered in fear? :rotfl

Jawas aren't afraid of anyone (including Mandalorians) but recoiled from the scary businessman who wanted to legally work the system to turn a profit, lol.
Get ready for the Water Merchant to be the main criminal mastermind behind everything.

I really like that Wor-Gar asked me what my "#1 SW Timeline" was. Because by saying "timeline" instead of "canon" it really made me realize that one version of the story doesn't trump another, even in the "official" sense. There's just different timelines of the "official" story and I personally see that there are three:

1. Original Lucas Timeline (Theatrical OT + EU) 1977-1996
2. Revised Lucas Timeline (OT:SE + PT + TCW +EU) 1997-2013
3. Disney Timeline (OT:SE + PT + Rebels + ST + Solo/RO + Mando/BOBF) 2014-Present

And while the original Lucas Timeline is what I consider to be the true foundation and that which everything else is measured against I can honestly say that each of the three versions of SW are still overall "positive" and things that I would say that I enjoy despite their flaws.

Now we can all cherry pick from the various timelines in order to try and pick an ideal narrative for our own personal head canons but I bet almost every fan of SW has chosen one of those three timelines above that they cherish and protect above all others. Which is fun but it also leads to *massive* disappointment when hoping that some new movie or show will somehow fit within their preferred timeline.

But we don't need to pretend that there's one true "reality" of SW. There's three. And if Timeline #1 is your bag then there's no need to fret about anything that Disney does because OT Bulloch/Wingreen Fett is untouchable. He'll forever exist unmolested (save ROTJ obviously) no matter what happens going forward.

For OT/PT diehards their Lucas approved Daniel Logan/TM Fett will also remain forever untainted by anything that happens on Disney+.

The current Fett really only exists in the Disney timeline, for better (Tython) and worse (the show that shall not be named, lol.) And for all of you that hate the ST and Disney you don't recognize any of this anyway so there's quite literally nothing of yours that is being "ruined."
That's very similar to how I see SW now. I actually enjoy the animated SW content (mostly), I just don't think it feels anything like SW, but they're all fun shows to watch, with decent storytelling. Just not SW to me.

I would love for Disney to do something like a Multiverse for SW for this reason alone. I would normally not want a multiverse anywhere near SW, but now I think it would do more good than bad at this stage. Every Fan could get the SW they want, and Disney still gets they're money. Win. Win.

I have a decent PT and ST story, that blends perfectly with the OT, and all three blend seamlessly together. I would love to write the whole thing, I have pages and pages of notes, but there's so much other content out there that you can't do anything without a new SW fan telling you that your idea can't happen because in #335 of SW Adventure Tales IG-88 interfaced with the Death Star and shot some rebel ships in RotJ.....

Based on Bo-Katan it'll just be Clarke with no age makeup whatsoever.
Yeah, I know that they are a super casual with age in SW, but she should be older than Boba!

My "No-Prise" explanation is that Hyperdrive does weird things with aging. Sometimes it makes you slightly younger, sometimes slightly older. That's the best I've got.

I think she'd probably be about the same age as Boba. Around 40. Maybe a little younger. She and Han are the same age right?
