But as soon as I saw Din squeeze into that cockpit I got major Kenner vibes so it's pretty obvious what that's about.
Yeah Hasbro reportedly cussed Favreau out about having to build a Sarlacc playset with Firespray doofus swallowing play feature so he wrote a more marketable vehicle into the story a couple episodes later, lol.

Can't really compare them. The N1 is basically a Space Batmobile. But like some others here as a kid the Falcon captured my imagination because you could go anywhere, do anything and live in it, which is what the Razorcrest was. So that likely edges it out for me.

It’s also unique that the Crest had the ability to carbon freeze somebody, remember ep 1

I'm thinking that his new impractical ride is a good indicator that his bounty hunting days might be soon coming to an end and that they'll shift gears to have him dealing with the larger narrative of restoring Mandalore.

Refusing money, still caring about Grogu and sacrificing a powerful spear to make something for Grogu..yeah that sums it up that he has changed

The Naboo fighter is pretty powerful though..remember how little Anakin took out the battle droids in TPM

the mechanic yelled “ R5 “ wasn’t Obi’s droid named R5..she also seems to have access to rebellion parts..hmmm

Next episode Fett asks if he can take Mando's new ride for a spin.

Agree. Anyway works perfectly well with my own internal narrative of Din D'jarin primarily needs fast travel at this point, not something for bounty hunting.

So at the last as opposed to ending up in Sorgan maybe he picks up an old Razor Crest and heads off into the sunset with Grogu that way - full circle. Either works for me.
Meanwhile waiting on my HASBRO Crest:impatient:
Do like the N1 having similar colors. Just not sure yet I'll want another ship that large. But a Mythosaur - yes.

Yep.

Have they confirmed how many series of Mando they plan to do? Once he's restored Mandalore he can retire and that should be his story done.

They really didn't. The "Force Dyad" came down to two people being really, reeeeaaaaalllyyyy power Force users and then the gud guyz winning with Rey... blocking Palpatine's eeeeeebiiiiillll lightning while saying "I am all the Jedi" as a response to his "I am aaaalll the Siiiiiith". That's the opposite of a Force Dyad.
The Force Dyad was their excuse to bring Palps back in full form so in that regard that story element came to full fruition. It would have been nice if Ben and Rey could have stood together repelling Palps' lightning but just like in the OT SW prefers to have their redeemed bad guys die rather than deal with the awkward quandary of how to deal with them in the celebratory aftermath of the Rebels' overall victory.

At least he got to die "keeping Rey from dying" which brought his grandfather's primary wish (and catalyst for his own downfall) full circle.

TLJ left things in a way where both the Sith and the Jedi were out of the picture, so you had neither autistic monks nor drugged-up maniacs running around.

That's not how TLJ left things. Luke stated point blank that he would not be the last Jedi so if they did do away with both the Sith and the Jedi in TROS then that would have been going back on the previous film. Kylo wanted to destroy both sides of the past but he was the bad guy and so therefore not the best theme to end the Saga on IMO.

But ultimately, what did we end with? What is the state of the SW Post-ROTS? Where does the story go from here? Well, there's Rey and... yeah, that's it. Everyone else is ******* dead. And she defeated "aaaallll the Siiith" which means now she's "aaaallll the Jeeeeeddiiii". So, she'll go set up some new Jedi school or whatever other dumb nonsense nobody cares about. TROS effectivelly killed off SW. It closed the chapter on the Skywalkers by ruining them, and now the only way forward is to do some totally disconnected stories. TLJ broke the narrative, but it gave us some avenues to go down on. TROS just dropped an atom bomb on it all.
I don't think that there should be a SW "post-TROS." Why does every story have to go on forever? The ST gave us a Saga that concludes with the Sith being eradicated once and for all and a galaxy that is no longer dependent on a select few Rebels doing all the fighting for them. Story breaking elements like TIE Fighters that can now follow you through hyperspace and Jedi who can raise the dead put a nice little period at the end of the Saga that discourage further stories from being told that would then have to incorporate such elements.

Also, Palpatine canonically came back in Fortnite.

That alone makes TROS an abomination and places TLJ above it.
Tie-in marketing gimmicks have no relevance on the quality of the films' themselves. Those brief sentences he stated were paraphrased in TROS's opening crawl so it's not like playing Fortnite was somehow a requirement for following the story. That said it might have been cool if TLJ ended with the Resistance sending out that call for help on Crait and Palps' broadcast was what they received in response.
