Is it wrong for me to say I’m getting a little annoyed with this police mentality of the rebels in these new series both Mandalorian and now BOBF.

It seems after ROTJ ..the rebel pilots have gotten really judicial on protocols and it seems they keep sticking their noses in other characters business

I wonder if this is the start of the era where Leia becomes General Organa :lecture

the only reason why this irks me is because the rebel pilots seem to be uptight

They're the worst kind of space cops. They should hit the space gym and stop with the self-righteous ticketing.

On a less tongue-in-cheek level it also serves to further shrink and cheapen the Star Wars galaxy. I can see local enforcement on the planetary level like the Cloud Car Cops on Bespin, but once again going back to ANH -- the galaxy was once a BIG, lonely place where one could get lost. Now you're just going to randomly run into space cops every time you fly around some (supposedly) backwater world?

Agreed. When Padme was surprised to learn that slavery was practiced on Tatooine even though it was outlawed by the Republic Shmi told them that the Republic (even at the height of its glory) still had no presence out there and yet five years after the Empire the New Republic has enough pilots to spare that they're able to repeatedly harass the same lone pilot no matter where he goes.

I think that's the point though, the Rebellion hated the Empire yet now that the New Republic is in control they're still dictacting that people have beacons or whatever installed in their ships so they can track them and control them.

I'd be happy with 4 and the occasional cameo. 😎
Five for me. We don't get that many episodes per season anyway.

Yeah but it makes sense to me, in that the Rebellion had to know there'd be plenty of Empire baddies still about, which needed to be cleaned up. Some sort of order restored; otherwise you just get small planetary groups fighting each other. Which is actually happening with Empire leftovers like Moff Gideon.

Repost for no reason except this is glorious. :monkey3 The reflection of the light off the armor.❤😲
Finally sank in just how dangerous that duel was; putting down the jetpacks meant basically you lose, you take a dive into deep space, probably.:horror

Obviously the power of the Fi rst Order and Snoke changed this status ofNew Republic quickly since Han was able to smuggle so freely and Rey can steal the falcon without even being followed in the future not mention Poe can be a spice runner

Indeed.

I just hope future shows deliver and Mando wasn't just a lightning in a bottle situation.
Well I think the main problem with this show is it being based on a legacy character that they're trying to take in a different direction from what has been established. In addition to the terrible writing, directing and overall quality :lol.

Remember where there was a quote in one of Karen Traviss' books to the effect of the Jedi being unable to help the slaves of Tatooine, but they could find it in themselves to help the slavemasters?

Same thing here. There's a lot of stuff that needs fixing on Tatooine, but we're gonna do traffic control instead - because how else can we make a little pocket change, except by fleecing the civvies? That's much easier than actually fixing problems, or getting money from actual criminals.

I still want to know where exactly in space they have the speed limit signs posted? YOU ARE NOW LEAVING TATTOOINE SPACE, KEEP IT SUB-LIGHT FOR THE NEXT 1 PARSEC PLEASE gtfooh coppers eat my ion dust

Robert Rodriguez was the one telling us how much they over delivered, how it's all killer and no filler. How every episode has an awesome surprise. Etc etc.
Him saying that off the back of how good Mando season 1 & 2 is, how amazing Boba's return in Mando season 2 was. It's no surprise we all had high hopes for this series.
Then the episode that didn't have Boba in it is the best episode so far.

They underhyped him. Creators deserve the blame, not the fans. Clearly across the board people are disappointed with this take on Boba.
We might never know..Faveru through editing the season might‘Ve looked at the episodes and say “ crap..maybe we should stick this Mando episode after the first four because the fans might not like the direction Fett is going “

For all we know..they might’ve filmed Mando’s episode after the season 2 finale as safety net

After seeing how he flies his own ship why would you want that doofus training people on how to operate anything, lol.
