Bah. You can have your side stories with new characters but Mark isn't gonna live forever so I hope they continue to utilize him (and McGregor, Hayden, Portman, etc.) while they can. RO Tarkin was nice but it feels so much more authentic when the likeness they are showcasing is still linked to the original living, contributing actor.
What can I say, different strokes. For myself a great big universe where characters like Mando and Grogu, IG-11, and Kuiil, Cara, Fennec etc. are a breath of fresh air. In-universe but not more about the freakin' Skywalkers. IMO Abrams/Disney really blew it not taking a character like Finn or Phasma and running with the ball.

It's not that I don't watch stuff with original characters like Luke; I just don't get thrilled about it. That said, just because you have something new doesn't mean it's gonna be good. I hope Mandalorian can stay the course without getting over-Filoni'd. And TBH seeing Luke/not Luke makes me uneasy, even if it's great tech. I wish they'd have got Sebastian Stan in; or does this stand-in act?

Obi-Wan I can deal with, since he had to be doing SOMETHING all those years in the desert. Maybe he was hanging with the Tuskens too. :monkey3 :bunnydanc:banana:google

It's just crazy how they've really shown Fett to be capable of pretty much nothing. He has done ZERO heavy lifting thus far. Fennec or the Vespas/Mando solve every problem for him while he gets even more help (Trejo/Rancor) handed to him on a silver platter. Whereas in Mando it was Din himself who would fly from planet to planet recruiting Cara, Kuill, Mayfeld, etc., for big tasks and he was always stepping up to do the job himself when others couldn't/refused even if it meant forsaking his own creed like infiltrating the base and taking his helmet off.

Fett literally just stands around or lounges in his bathrobe while *everyone else* handles the tasks that he originally claimed he was going to do himself. Why on earth would anyone respect him let alone fear him.
It's a missed opportunity for the character. I love all the Mando and Luke story however I feel that there was potential there to really give Boba a good story. As the writers have proved so far, he really didn't need his own series.

It's just so strange that they're pretending that this is the same Boba Fett from Tython who singlehandedly *saved* Mando and Fennec from two entire squads of Stormtroopers only to have Fennec now act as if Fett can't accomplish anything without "muscle" like Black Krrsantan and Mando to back him up.

Not me. Burnt out on the Skywalkers.

Thank you.

I have nothing against the Skywalkers, to the contrary. Yet its strange that in an area as large as an actual galaxy, we have like, 5 people that are worth telling stories about? And if we try to tell a story about someone else, one of those five is going to show up, 100%. Really.

And with that Skywalker, we will 100% have Ahsoka tagging along. Don't hate, you know its true. At this point I'm surprised she's not popping up on the weather map when you turn on the evening news.

Oh I hear you and honestly I don't see any reason why they can't do both: continue Luke's story while showcasing new characters in their own separate adventures.
Oh, I bet that's already in the works:frank. Any chance for Disney to make more money and keep those subscriptions to D+ going.:monkey3

They could have. Even the title of the series was great. It shouldv'e/could've been amazing. Every now and then, whether it's a nice desert shot, or maybe a droid, I get a glimpse of what might have been. It just feels like they rushed things, didn't develop a really great arc, and stuffed some Mando in there to fill up time (thank gawd).

Also ignoring why people took to Boba in the first place.:pfft:

Well, at a time when Jedi are supposed to be extremely rare, if you're gonna have one in your show at all (Grogu), odds are the current well known Jedi (Luke) is going to be part of the story.

What you need is for them to stay away from Jedi altogether or set a story in an entirely different era.

Thank you.

Not me, I never took to Ahsoka, and I wish these directors could get past being so in luv with their own creations that they assume everyone else is too. It's like at this point u can't get rid of her. If they were redoing Pirates of the Caribbean or something, Ahsoka would pop up and they'd say she was just part of the World Between World or some *&^%.:pfft:

Its just Disney being cheap. Doing this story right would have been expensive - hey, those Bossk prosthetics are not free - so they, a $billion+ company, cheaped out.

Im just disgusted by Disney atm, as you might have guessed. lol :cautious:

Slap a mermaid tail on her and get her in there. LOL!

As many have said so much will just come down to the finale. Maybe RR is making Fett such a badass in next week's episode that it blinded him to all of the buffoonery leading up to it.

But man with so many key characters in play now; Fennec, Mando, Cobb, Krrsantan, the Mod Squad, Rancor, probably Tusken Lady and maybe even Luke and Grogu, I fear that there will be so much time showing everybody else doing cool stuff that there might simply be not enough screen time for Fett to even have a chance at undoing all of the idiocy we've seen thus far.

Getting the best of Bane will be a step in the right direction but he'll need to do a *lot* more than just that (and honestly I'm nervous that once again they're gonna let Fennec take out out a major bad guy instead of Fett.)

To be fair tho, will watch her show, tho it's more to see if Sabine & co. show up.

And to be fair, the white lightsabers and environment in Mandalorian looked cool. Great aesthetics. The coolest thing we've seen in TBOBF is Fennec kicking some butt. Even using her knife to get BK to fall into the pit was lame; like the mods were all standing RIGHT THERE where they could have shot his paw or stomped.

This show blows in so many ways.:banghead:duh

Speaking of babies and bathwater, where are you at right now with the canonization of BOBF? For me there's way too much "baby" to throw out the whole series. But are you rejecting it all regardless because of "Fett's" portrayal, somehow extracting the stuff you like while pretending the rest didn't happen, or are you more like me and trying to feverishly reconcile the canonization of Mando's scenes and Luke training Grogu with the rationalization that this "Boba" is just a clone imposter with imprinted Sarlacc memories, lol.
As of now, my Boba canon ends with him taking the throne from Bib. Aaaaannnnnd scene!

It's like the writers of Mando S2 and Boba Fett S1 never saw each other's work...and they're supposed to be the same person!

Fett disintegrating Bane where he stands would be so awesome, and such a redemptive step not only for him, but for this whole series that we have exactly 0% chance of that happening.
Really? Thought at least one narrative had Bane offed by Fett?

IMO it's what happens - maybe - when the Disney overloads F&F with a memo to do another show, fast, to keep those D+ subscriptions. Not to mention even the Volume is apparently now in demand, being used for the Obi-Wan show and I think the latest Thor too. So they had to squeeze TBOBF in there as well.

The early spoiler, that hit a few right notes and missed others...

After Boba unites the gangs, and various Hunters failed to kill him and Shand, Q'ira finally allows Bane to try at Boba again. Bane scouts the area and notices Boba's affection for the girl mentioned earlier, Boba is starting to view her like a daughter, Bane kidnaps her and contacts Boba, who is shocked Bane is not dead. Bane and Boba duel it out one last time, Boba wins, Cad Bane finally hits the bucket. The girl is okay and comes to live with Boba and Fennec, Boba starts to train here.

I just read that entire spoiler again and they must've had "some" inside information but not a lot. They had to know about Black Kristin as that's too good a guess to have him show up. Bane showing up was an easy guess... Would love to know how and where these inside leaks come from...
