I don’t get blaming Morrison. He didn’t write the show. He didn’t write his character. He didn’t write his lines. That’s like blaming Hamill for the ST or Ahmed Best for the PT.

The show can work with Morrison. He did a fine job with what he was handed.

The best thing that could happen to this show is if Boba dies in his tank at the start of Episode 2 and Fennec finds Cobb Vanth and convinces him to wear a fat suit and masquerade as him. Olyphant has the acting chops to carry a show; Morrison does not.

It goes back to my point earlier. Morrison does have the ability to carry the show IF they write the show as such, but they didn’t. They knew who Morrison was when planning this show, yet they tried to make Morrison and Fett something they aren’t, talkative, personable, even kind?

Do we all really believe Morrison can’t carry this show if he was simply a version of the Mando Fett we saw? I mean if he shot that Rodian and drop kicked the little Tusken kid, or when that Twi’lek asked Fett for tribute and Fennec said “should I kill him,” Boba should have said “that won’t be necessary” and then shot him himself, or flew up with his jetpack and BBQed those assassins, we aren't having this conversation right now.

Everything about Morrison is perfect from his look to voice to demeanor if they played to those strengths. Fett isn’t charismatic or talkative, anyone cast as Fett should have been man of few words, actions does the talking, earns respect through his actions.

Sarlacc struggle and escape was uninspired.
Pit should have been filled with half digested and rotten still living beings. Clutching at him, and begging him to kill them.
While acid eats at him and his armor, and tendrils try to attach themselves to him, and down his throat and through his ears to his brain, to keep him alive in stasis and slowly digest him. This struggle should have been terrifying.

One of the absolute biggest disappointments about this episode. Either that Stormie fell into the pit over a millennia ago or they just decanonized one of the single most disturbing elements of all of SW!

Now to accept this series at all I have to head canon that Stormie as being dead before he fell in.

Would it have killed them to at least make him quietly moaning or something?

Oh and we also learned that Stormies apparently have more useful helmets than Fett too. Lovely.

I didn't bother to rewatch. Was that an oxygen tube Fett pulled from the trooper to breathe from?

If so, WTF? And how long do those things stay supplied without needing a refill!?

What did everyone want to see from the Sarlacc escape?

Are we talking like horror-esque? Fett who survived in there and fought creatures who he ate and cooked with his flame thrower as he and his armor slowly decay over weeks to months? Trying to make his way through the beast and get to a point he could blast/flame his way out? Battling through multiple sets of those teeth things trying as not to get chopped up? The Force Unleashed video game had a Sarlacc Belly level that was pretty cool and like the above.
