So who’s looking forward to episode 2 lol
For sure tho if things don't improve it'll be tough suffering sympathetically alongside long term Boba fans while I debate my Monk Boba PO, seein' as my own favs have been nerfed and Disneyfied in the recent past. :pfft:

On the other hand this thread is hillarious.

Not only that but the almost universal disdain for Episode 1 has given us a real sense of community. Is it so wrong that I want that to last? :rotfl

Listen to the new Boba Fett theme.

So far, Fennec seems to be more intelligent, physically capable, and better qualified to be a crime lord than Boba Fett. To be fair, Boba used to be a bounty hunter, so he has no experience being a boss. He's always worked for people, so he's not used to being a leader. Maybe that's the point of the show, not just his rise as a crime lord, but becoming a competent boss. Fennec has better instincts and should probably be the one making the decisions, so I would not be surprised if at some point, he gives Fennec the throne and he goes back to what he does best, being a bounty hunter. Kind of like how Thor gave new Asgar to that chick, while he went on to have adventures with the GOTG.

I don’t know if anyone has theorized this yet, but I think another Hutt will be behind the assassination attempt. If so, it would be smart to have the reveal in the next one or two episodes rather than waiting until the last minute of the finale as a setup for a next season. It would make sense that one or more more Hutts would be looking to fill the power vacuum. The rival Hutt would be similar to Jabba but could have a different enough design and voice to be distinct. He/she (my guess is it will be a female) could either have their own ornate palace with servants, guards, attendants, entertainers and deadly pets, or they could arrive on planet in a gaudy luxury space yacht. The Hutts are renown for their excesses. A Hutt reveal would be on the same level as Baby Yoda (minus the cuteness factor), and would be interesting from a storytelling perspective. Not to mention, it would be a great callback to the OT and fans would love to see a new Hutt brought to life with practical effects (CGI would not work). Hopefully that’s where this is going as opposed to Boba just walking around trying to get scheming under bosses, upstart politicians and other riffraff to fall in line. The only other thing that might come close would be to have Darth Maul show up. But that doesn’t excite me nearly as much. I did read a rumor about Emilia Clarke reprising her role as Qi’ra, but that’s even less exciting that Maul.

Think about it, Fett came out fatter from the Sarlacc then he went in.
The YouTubers are all over that referencing back to what Threepio said about the digestion process of the Saflacc ..Some people think that trooper was one from the patrol that was on Dewback back in ANH :lol

Everyone here on at least some level. And we all know this show is going to get better. The question is by how much.

They knew they couldn't just jump straight into crime lord Fett without addressing the setup of how he escaped the Sarlacc and came to discover Cobb Vanth had his missing gear. So that's why we're getting the Godfather 2 narrative structure where we go back and forth between Fett flashbacks and present-day Fett.

The reason why I suspect that Favreau deferred more to Filoni for the first episode (aside from it being mediocre :lol) is that Dave is the lore and characterization expert. And this first episode needed lore explanations (Sarlacc escape, Jawas taking the gear, Tusken servitude, etc.) and establishing Fett characterization more than anything else. Filoni territory. When that stuff is out of the way, Favreau can just do his thing and develop actual story.

Other than some inevitable shoehorning of Filoni's animated characters, the plots going forward will likely be all Favreau. Maybe the Godfather will be invoked even further as Boba develops into a Vito before eventually becoming more of a Michael.

and Fennec be like

(see Boba McFly behind her)

I wouldn't be surprised if Fennec started lusting after a more competent crime lord in the next episode...

McFett angrily pursues the jawas in the street, shaking his fist swearing "Not Again!!!" as the little rats flee with this weeks twilek brothel tribute they have once again hijacked. In his hasty awkward pursuit the tubby McFett clumsily slips on a banana peel going headfirst and waist deep into the bantha poodoo cart 💩

I think Favreau saw the dailies went HOLY CRAP and added Fett disintegrating that one Mortal Kombat fighter lol
