He kicked butt the last couple episodes of Mando...I'm fine with him being a bit thicker. He's in pretty damn good shape for someone his age, IMO...

"For his age" shouldn't matter though. He is just noticeably too plump to play post ROTJ Boba Fett. It is distracting and if you had a fit stunt guy who is more properly proportioned in the suit you wouldn't have the problem of pacifying an actor who is in love with seeing his own face on screen.

Agreed 100%.

They could have even said that he got so disfigured in the Sarlacc that he *had* to cover his face, always. So even before he got the armor on Tython he could have shown up in some cool outfit (a brown bathrobe wouldn't have been my first choice) and then either a different mask or a head covered in bandages. That would nicely bring back some mystery as to what he actually looked like which was a really fun aspect of the character for decades.

Then like you said have TM do the voice for whatever stuntman they choose. There would even be a precedent since it obviously wasn't him in the suit for ESB:SE.

Or just Sarlaac Leprosy

I'd like to see Boba Fett fighting inside the Sarlacc. Bobo going down (literally) fighting inside the Sarlacc can make up for his less than stellar performance in ROTJ.

I'm sure he used some gadgets and weapons going down, right?

I'm sure Boba wasn't crying or screaming like...

So are we calling him Boba Fat now?
I've been calling Boba Fatt since he pulled his robe down and revealed his identity to Mando.

But it's a term of endearment!

People get old. People get fat. Yes, there's less time between BoBF and the end of RoTJ than the ShitTrilogy, but still...dude went through a lot. He gained some weight. Lay off!

Harrison Ford stayed super slim cause he's a freak of nature. But before her untimely passing and it's wrong to speak ill of the dead, we all said some not so kind things about the state of Princess Leia.

And let's not forget Hamill had to go on a crash diet and they still squeezed him into a girdle.

I for one think Morrison's physicality looks great, especially for his age. I still prefer the "Throne Room" costume from the teaser, but the regular costume with red booties is just fine too.

Honestly, I'd be a little bored if he looked like a digital recreation of Bulloch in the suit from 1979. I'm totally fine if they do that for flashbacks, but everything we've seen so far entirely works as Fett's evolution for me.

Look at you all positive! I agree that his clean look from Mando S2 did a much better job of somewhat masking his heft but like you, I'm 100% fine with his look in BoBF. How does everyone know that it's TM dictating the helmet off? It could very well be the writers or directors...

I’m in the camp where I would’ve preferred to have a slimmer stuntman and Tem just voice him but I’m also totally fine with him as-is since skinny Fett wouldn’t have been able to pull off the brutality of his Chapter 14 scenes.

Plus, he’s nearing Jango’s age from AOTC so his genetics seem to be on schedule.

Fett looks like he ate Jango!

He's not fat, it's all muscle. Post-Sarlaac regimen has been 400mg of test and primo/week, 50mg of winny daily plus 6 units of HGH 2x/day.

Maybe TM is just voicing BF when the helmet's on - I'm starting to think that's Favreau under there. TM's appearance in Mando and in the BoBF spin-off is probably all part of an elaborate plan designed to make Favreau's BF cosplay dreams a reality lol...

Honestly, and I say this as a Fett fanatic for decades....he looks fine. He only looked fat in the awkward scene where the undersized beat up armor was squeezed over his thick desert nomard robes.

Thick Fett is a HELL of a lot better than gorpy, lanky Cobb Vanth and his red pantaloon undies from the 1870s (complete with trap door, if you know what I mean.)

I know you guys are 1/6 scale but I'm all about 1/12. We're already half way through these figures on pre-order...would prefer a uniform SHF look, but I'll mix and match with Hasbro when the quality is there. Just hope they don't forget dirty armor. I have a feeling we'll see most merch for red booties Boba since that's apparently his look in his own show.

He just needs a bigger chest piece that covers him a bit more. He doesn't look THAT thic. He's got the old man strength now like Stallone in Rambo 4/Rocky 6.

I still contend that it's really just the promo shots (hopefully taken before shooting began) where he looks bad and that he looks quite good in the actual trailer footage.

All kidding aside, I actually thought guys were joking or being sarcastic calling him fat. Because yeah, out of the teasers/trailers and multiple promo shots, there’s really only that one unflattering shot of him in that armor so far. People can’t really think he’s gonna be on the show with a beer belly poking out, right?:lol

Right. And that beer belly shot was arguably caused by squeezing that tiny armor overlay over the robes he was already wearing. It had the least screen time, but it really tied the past to the present so I hope it gets 1/12 representation sometime, and not just that $500 Hot Toys doll.

Still want a figure though.

And no, I don't like the BoBF main look that we've so far AS MUCH as I liked the last two Mando appearances, but I'm hoooer and I'll still buy it.

We'll get our first glimpse of the real thing in about 2 weeks, boys!!
