I was expecting a bad ass fight scene at the end, and got nothing.
:lecture
You got a motorcycle chase with a lot of crashes. That agent hitting the pole was great! lol They had to leave it open for the next one.

They could've had Cross kill the guy in a badass fight scene after the chase (without the crash).

True, but they chose to shoot him in the leg and make him weak at the end. Unlike Batman where he can fight with a broken back and a miraculously healed knee, he couldn't do much at the end.

Jason Bourne would've sucked it up.

Wasn't the point of the green/blue pills and being genetically enhanced so that he can ignore pain? Sure he might've bled out, but they could've made the chase a little shorter. Both guys were shot so it would've been a good fight.

My major complaint about this film, like I said a couple of pages back, this film lacked a proper ending. No hand-to-hand fight with Bangkok guy, no confrontation with Ed Norton or the agency, unlike Bourne who would track his chasers and trick them. It will make this film very forgettable in a few months sad to say. These films typically end with a bang, this one ended with a whimper.

Oh well, Skyfall won't make this mistake.

I thought it was unnecessary for them to introduce another agent at the end just to extend the chase scene. it could have worked if they tightened it up to just the gov't chasing him. It was good not great.

You guys are missing the point. There are all kinds of projects going on at once. Not just the one with Bourne, not just the one with Cross. Each one is alittle different. This movie just set up the next movie. I think it will be much better.

:lecture I guess this is what I should've said.

I also thought it was suspect that Ed Norton's character is trying to eliminate all the "participants" and clean up the loose ends, but they decide it's a good idea to activate an agent from yet another one of the programs to send after him.

It probably would've made the movie better with a fight scene, like I said though, for some reason they decided to have him shot and weakened. I don't think he was feeling a lot of pain, just losing blood. Maybe they didn't want this one to be so much like the Bourne movies and made the final scene on motorcycles. I don't even know if the writer(s) are the same as the other movies.

They were just cleaning up THAT project. There are several others.

How is anybody missing the point? I'm aware of all of that. It really isn't difficult to understand what was going on in the film.
It doesn't change the fact that rather than having the doctor kick the dude into a pole, the end of the film would have benefitted from a real climax. They were apparently going to kill the other agent anyway. And it isn't like they couldn't have just introduced a new agent or created a new one to go after Cross in the sequel (which is probably what they'll do).

Just because they surely have a sequel planned doesn't mean they could have made this film so it also can stand on it's own two legs which it just doesn't feel completed. But I love how whenever somebody criticizes anything about a movie these days, the counter-argument is that they are just missing the point.

Don't take it so personal since I didn't address you personally. I already said several times that the ending could've had a better fight scene. I was talking more about the operatives.

It's funny how people see things differently.

Same thing will happen with The Expendables 2, I bet.

Ween, you're acting like this is a new occurrence. :lol

This is your Prometheus. You're going to have to ride it out. :lol

I thought this was alright but, while I thought it seemd a bit short and would have been up for a longer film, I wouldn't be sad to hear them say they wouldn't continue the franchise.
I think that whatever the Bourne films had, this movie seemed to lack. Also thought the "office stuff" with Norton and his team wasn't nearly as good as the Conklin/Abbot from Identity and the Landy/Abbot from Supremacy.

Day 1 BR purchase when it comes out though? Of course:yess:
