So, I met Bill Murray last night. He came into the restaurant where I work after we were closed and I was sitting at the bar waiting for my restock to get finished and all of sudden in he walks, not two feet in front of me. Couldn't believe it. We were closed but our chef went back and opened up the kitchen and cooked for him a couple of friends. He kind of bantered with the couple of those who stuck around and was cracking jokes the whole time. We did this photo op at the end. He was in town (Boston) for the final game of the Bulls/Celtics semifinals. This photo setup was his idea, to get us all looking through that little nook with the barrels in the picture below us. Anyways, that's me grinning like an idiot on the far left. This guy's one of my favorite actors of all time. I think it's ridiculous that Sean Penn won an academy award for Mystic River and Bill didn't for Lost in Translation a few years ago. I couldn't believe it when he just walked in the door like that. Super cool guy to say the least.

So, yeah, let's get this commission rolling again already!

He was totally off the cuff and cool and funny. A total riot. He came in wearing this visor with fake, bleached spiked hair coming out the top. Then when we asked him if we could do a photo he said, "This is what we're going to do," and just started moving chairs around. "You have to get the barrels in the shot," he kept saying. I was standing three feet in front of him and taking a picture and he kept saying how we needed to get the barrels in the shot. He even bowed to the Japanese girl in the picture and was giving her kisses on the way out and all I could think was Lost in Translation.
Another shot. This was the one I took. I was trying to get his buddy, Tim, in there, but I think I cut him off. Sorry, Tim:

Don't know if anyone posted these or if they will be useful to any of your customs but I thought I'd share. Hopefully some of you can use them.

My dad has spoken to him a couple of times and says pretty much the same thing he's real easy going and down to earth. I passed up my chance to meet him because the same day he was meeting my dad i was heading down to do something with my girl friends family (who is now my wife, stupid me i thought she'd be mad if i had tried to back out and instead she thought i was an idiot for not backing out).

She's right. You were an idiot. :lol

Bill Murray > girlfriend/wife

YEAH, the update is that it's going to take for ever to see the heads. I bet Mattel will release them and we'll be still waiting! Not negative , just check the date of the first post!!!!

yeah i'm beginning to think this project is a bust. it's a shame cuz i put alot of work into my figures. i even added some decals to the packs recently:

but if it takes a year to see a headsculpt and probably another year to get it painted, it'll be almost 10 years till we get a whole set. i think i'll just sell my figures off and let somebody else worry about the heads. is it possible to get a refund for the heads i paid for?

Those are pretty cool decals, Craw. How did you make them?
somebody on the board sent them to me. they are pretty good but i think there should be more. need some for that round piece near the bottom. sorry, my pics suck except for the yellow/black one which came out pretty clear.

Hey Craw, keep this set where it is. Lets give it one last try, I know how you feel but we are so close to get the ultimate GB set.

I will write an email to Chris and ask him to discuss the future of this project with us.

Ok, I have send a polite email to Chris asking him for an update on the status quo. I would suggest we will wait another week and hope that he does reply in any way. Chris is a great guy so I am pretty sure this project will be realized soon or later but I can understand everybodys "frustration" too.

We're getting Ghostbusters! :banana

Let me know if you get a response :) I sent Chris a polite email 2 weeks ago (I think) asking for an update on the last two Summer Glau versions. No response yet.
