Help us William Shatner's toupee. You are our only hope!

Sal

Hey gang,
I understand your frustration in waiting for our commissions and trust me, I share it. I've had my 1:6 Doctor Who costumes finished awaiting some heads for awhile now and my own set of proton packs from Nick-o-tron ready to catch some ghosts. Your pain is my pain. :monkey2

Through lots of communication discussing future plans, I think Chris is a great guy and I know he will come through for us, and KNOW he's been busy with his day job, but I wrote him (a month back?) saying I thought maybe he should address everyone in one message that we could repost in all of his various commission threads explaining how he was going to attack his 1:6 project lists and maybe give us some estimated completion dates for the various commissions. He said he'd kick around what I wrote and get back to me in a few days and hasn't had time to yet.

I know we are all a pretty patient group of hobbiests capable of even more patience and understanding if we were just given an estimated time-line for completion for the heads or even a rough target due date.

Just so you all know, I stay quiet in threads as much as possible regarding questions of time tables now because all of that is completely in Chris' hands, and I am not really in "the loop" for any extra information.

From where I stand, I was always told the paid up-front commissions were the priority, and Ray from GB (and the Fourth Doctor and Sarah Jane from Doctor Who) have been paid for a while now, and I had been told by Chris all three were targeted to be done last New Years week. Those were the teases I made back around then, as the liason, passing on what I was told. Then the deadline came and went. Then a few more. And I kinda looked dumb. Now we are in June and I was last told in that last E-mail they would be "coming soon". And now he has been sequestered away again. Maybe he is deep at work in his dungeon about to reveal a huge batch of heads when he emerges? I dunno.

I would like to think we will be hearing from Chris soon with some great news.
But just so no one thinks I'm avoiding these threads and not popping in, I am, and just wanted to tell you what I know (plus I have been getting a LOT of PM's).
Peace!
-Rick

I just got this from an email I sent Chris, I hope it is just a glitch....

Just tried to send him another email and got the same error message. This is not looking good.

I really hope this isn't another of the take the money and run situations......

Has anyone heard anything from him or more importantly received anything from him?

i don't think you have to worry about the take your money and run thing. he's not scamming anyone but the email thing is wierd

Some communication on his side would do wonders for a lot of these concerns. I'm still hopeful everything will work out fine

All he would have to do is communicate and not come on here and say "Not to worry since this is what he does for a living etc etc etc......"

Unfortunately the path to hell is paved with good intentions. I personally feel there are way too many "glass is half full" people on this board. If Mr. Howes would post a project status update thread broken out by commissions I think things would quiet down quite a bit. If he isn't willing to communicate with anyone it's not much of a surprise the paid commission people are getting upset.

When its all said and done there’s bound to be a good deal of regret on both sides of the subject.
