Well Z does seem to be a bit more result oriented but I think it might be more prudent to send him a PM to check his availability before starting another interest list. It would also be good idea to check with WST and see just how many of the pre-pays have been converted to actual commission fees for a particular sculptor.

I would really love to see these sculpts completed as a set(Peter, Ray, Egon, Winston) BEFORE they make another sequel and completely ruin the franchise. Even better if they were done as a whole by a single sculptor, however, in the event things pan out for a Ray sculpt perhaps we should move on to Egon/Winston or start over with Peter?

I guess it would be rather ironic considering the project was started with Ada and has changed hands once already. Ada may have her issues but she realizes the importance of turning out product.

I would suggest to wait some time. I have already paid for all the heads and am pretty confident to get them. Chris announced an update in the comming weeks. Why should he come back if he really wants to fool us so we shouldnt worry. This does not mean that I liked his reaction but neither I liked the way other people have acted before and still do.
I thought about skipping to another sculptor too (Z would propably the best) but to be honest I would really love to get the Howes'heads (not only because I've already paid them). There will always be a chance to get another sculptor later too. So waiting and hoping the best does not hurt.
Nevertheless Chris really needs to solve this whole disput as he seems the only one who can...

I am on board if we go with somebody else to get the heads done. If a majority want to wait and see how these shake down first, I'll go with that too

yeah be up for another sculptor too. id like to get em done by chris as originaly planned but if every1 decides we should get some1 else to do them that will and can do them in good time then id be in.

Maybe we can open a new thread and ask Z to jump on this porject?

He said Ray was almost done so he might likely be part of the update. Lets give him a chance. I know there is quite a big wave against Chris around here at the moment. Some things might be true, others are well exagurated. This thread has been quiet for quiet a long time so we shouldnt start the hunt because it is the general moot right now. We should give him a fair chance and wait for his update. We shouldnt be too concerned. This has been pushed up and has gotten a little out of control. Critic has been posted, now its time to see if something has changed.

So, I met Bill Murray last night. He came into the restaurant where I work after we were closed and I was sitting at the bar waiting for my restock to get finished and all of sudden in he walks, not two feet in front of me. Couldn't believe it. We were closed but our chef went back and opened up the kitchen and cooked for him a couple of friends. He kind of bantered with the couple of those who stuck around and was cracking jokes the whole time. We did this photo op at the end. He was in town (Boston) for the final game of the Bulls/Celtics semifinals. This photo setup was his idea, to get us all looking through that little nook with the barrels in the picture below us. Anyways, that's me grinning like an idiot on the far left. This guy's one of my favorite actors of all time. I think it's ridiculous that Sean Penn won an academy award for Mystic River and Bill didn't for Lost in Translation a few years ago. I couldn't believe it when he just walked in the door like that. Super cool guy to say the least.

So, yeah, let's get this commission rolling again already!

Bill said he's blacklisted and should never see another one of his films again until at least his sculpt is finished. He was very passionate about it.

No, seriously, this has become an ugly ugly mess. I know we all respect Chris' work but he should have reasonably evaluated way back when what he could and couldn't take on. As far as I remember the GB heads were among the first commissions and should have been given priority (I might be mistaken, sorry if I'm wrong). Also, I know we're just a bunch of "hobbyists" but this commission still should have been treated with a certain level of professionalism and respect by the artist that's certainly been lacking here. Sorry, Chris. I don't presume to know how the professional world of freelance sculpting works but we put up good money and have thus far showed incredible patience. We've tried to put ourselves in your shoes. Why don't you do the same for us? Just come clean all ready.

As for finding a new sculptor, I'm down, even thought I've sunk a good bit of change into this commission. I just want to see these done.

i agree. i think a lot of his commision threads have shown at least 1 WIP pic. we haven't had any. probably cuz he hasn't even attempted to start these.

I admit it, you got me! I was reading through it seriously and I was suprised to think an actor like Murray would have have had a positive reaction to a fan-based unlicensed commission!

thats what ithought?? i thougth he was about 70 or 80% done about 3months ago lol. im jst glad i bought the other sculpts of ramis, murray and the blues bro dan heads, when josh has painted them up for me they will def do until there are better sculpts availble.

and perhaps when mattel release the official 12" figs, if ther sculpts are any gud, we might not need to bother with chris c's, jst sucks for you guys who have paid already.

Yep.

But I can't really see the Mattel sculpts being anywhere near the quality of custom made, small batch production ones. At this point, I wish we could just go with a different sculptor.

yeah i cant imagine the mattel figures being amazingly detailed but we will see!! im jst hoping they are not too cartoony/action man type face looking, if that makes sense?
