I saw it the other night. It was decent, but I still prefer the original. However, the "social commentary" aspect of the new version does not have the same blunt impact as the original. I was somehow anticipating more gore/horror, but what gore/horror there were . . . it was rather standard and I'd say almost subdued compared to the original.

A good clean horror film. Maskfreak gives it a thumbs up. After seeing good reviews here, I decided to check it out.

If you have not seen the movie “The Crazies”…you have to see it…

This movie is chock full of propaganda… Actually, it has the most propaganda I have EVER seen in a movie in my life! I thought it would be just another horror movie, man was I surprised…the government/elite are telling us what is going to happen to us in this movie – GO SEE IT!

The water supply gets contaminated by a chem trail plane that crashes into the local river where the town draws their water from…

Hm, don't normall dig zombie (crazie) flicks, but I'll check this one out.
