Re: Cocoboloboy's Crazy Customs

I mixed a little Apple Barrel Golden Brown and Antique White paint in a couple cups of warm water and soaked and rinsed until I got the color I wanted. It's a very mild dye so thereisin't much concern with getting it too dark too fast.

Coco,
You rule dude, thanks for sharing that. Came out very good....

And the Ayala eye repaint come out great too! Nice work.

Re: Cocoboloboy's Crazy Customs

Well here is my repaint and I must say I am a very happy customer. Adam took what was a good figure and made it great, truly brings out Trev's awesome sculpt. Sorry for the crappy pics, I need to whip out my Rebel XT to take some proper snaps. Picture don't really even convey on how good this guys skills are.

Great pics Nick! It's good to see him all geared up. I like the last one the best. I'd love to see more taken with your Rebel.

I'm sooooo glad your happy with him.

Re: Cocoboloboy's Crazy Customs

Again, a very cool Han. :rock
Thanks Les!

Any luck with Luke Adam?

I'm still working on him. I painted his eyes but I think I'm going to lighten them up a bit and try something different. After that it's on to his hair and then I'm finished.
One of his leg wraps came unwound though.:monkey2 Gotta fix that sometime.

And this is what has been taking up a lot of my time lately, a commisioned custom LCD TV cabinet. It has two shelves that go in the upper section and I'll be fitting it with three can lights this afternoon then it's stain time.

Re: Cocoboloboy's Crazy Customs

WOW..................that cabinet is beautiful. that is some serious craftsmanship there. that molding is just awesome and really sets off everything...........:bow
please update this pic when its complete.

Re: Cocoboloboy's Crazy Customs

Thanks barryo and gboy! :rock
I just cut the can light holes and loaded the thing on the truck to go get it stained and it started sprinkling.:banghead

I drove like mad to a covered spot at the shop but now I have to hand sand this whole thing again.:monkey2 Water + Wood = Disaster
Oh well. I can't wait to see it all finished and installed.

Curt and Roc, you guys are too kind. Thank you. :rock

I'd like to present the humble beginnings of the my Ultimate 1:6 TDK display cabinet. This will eventually be the top piece of the cabinet that runs along the face.

This is how it will look unlit.

Now lit with the room light on.

Now for those romantic evenings alone, just you and your TDK figures with the lights down low.

This first cabinet will hold two to three figures, I've actually got it designed just for Joker and TDK suit Bats. It'll be all black with graphite gray accents.

The upper back ground will be two mini movie posters, one of Heath and the other Bale. The lower back drop behind the figures will be gray brick. There will be a light at the top and a door with a plexiglass center to keep them visible and dust free.

I can't wait to finish this one!:banana
