:lol I see what you did there

As to this, wow. Hilarious the way they announce this junk like as though they expect people to be happy about it. The comments immediately prove them wrong and they'll just ignore that as usual.

:lol Great stuff Clown.

Yeah, I ****ed Chan's wife. Maybe that has something to do with it, I dunno. Honestly, he doesn't seem like the type that would even have one so he probably wouldn't even mind if I did.

But yeah, the DC situation (as well as anything non-Disney) is an absolute **** show. I wonder if they even make any money off this stuff anymore. A company that is set in their ways, not testing the market and simply relying on sales for repainted Iron Man and Spider-Man figures doesn't seem healthy. Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like they're leaving so much money on the table.

I doubt they would keep making these if nobody was buying them (perhaps they're more popular in markets outside North America?), but yeah, it definitely sucks to see every 1/6 figure you're hoping for get made... as a cosbaby.

The only Spider-Man five that would sell like crazy are the raimi figures and mcu and classic suits tbh

I'm sure Hot Toys is making money on those damn things. They're not terribly complicated to design, they can be brought to market quickly, and I'm sure Disney is placing large PO's for them to minimize any costs and guarantee production minimums. I wouldn't be surprised if the marvel cosbabys started showing up for sale in the Disney parks and Disney stores - they seem to fit the Disney bill (no sharp edges, not controversial, baby-like, parents think they're cute, they're under $50, etc.). It also seems that is the most likely gathering for their target audience.

Whether or not anyone likes it, Hot Toys is deeply in bed with Disney. There was a "2019 D23 Expo" Captain America that was produced with the tesseract and it was initially available only at that Disney event. You can still see it on the Hot Toys website and it has the mouse ears logo on every single product picture. It's not at all by accident that it is co-branded.

I think everyone would agree that Howard Chan is a capitalist and there's nothing wrong with that. It's just sad that so many of us drank the cool-aid that he was going to produce high quality collectibles and maximize the franchises that he got. It sucks, it's a letdown, and it's disappointing. In my mind, he's somewhat morphing a portion of Hot Toys into the "Applause Toy Company" that existed in the 90's.

I'm saving my pennies and going the custom route. When and if another figure gets produced that I have an interest in, I'll give my money to them. Maybe Hot Toys will produce something, maybe not, but I'm not holding my breath for them.

Damn, I was actually thinking about that last night. I was thinking "when are we going to get the sculpted Iron Man mugs with straws from Hot Toys". :lol

Crazy.

Oh man...this is all DiFabio?s fault. Nothing good ever comes from the gigolo lifestyle.

That's really impressive.

I really do want the Batwing he's making. I really, really do . . .

But seriously look at the 89 sitting next to it :horror :thud:

I absolutely hated how this batmobile was presented as an RC car in the actual movie but holy crap does that look insane at that scale absolutely insane.

It puts HT Batmobiles to shame my jaw is stuck on the floor.

Just look at that resin holy crap.

And Hot Toys, a huge company, could never produce something like that again. They got soft.

The price is not even that bad lol

I know the Cosbaby stuff sells well overseas, but it’s frustrating to see Hot Toys do stuff like this instead of what a lot of collectors really want.

Meanwhile IM armor # 125 just got announced.

They are revisiting IM armors for the 3rd go around but now with translucent plastic lol
