:rock :blackbat

You guys are so lucky! There's no theater or ciniplex of that caliber in northern Cali. I'd love to see the batsuit in person. PHOTOS if ya can, Pjam?

:rock

I'm on it! :D

Michael Caine will FINALLY receive his Star on the HWOF July 11 11am! :rock

For those wondering what the Mattle Scarecrow Evidence mask looks like on a 12" figure,

I think with some minor work (cutting, sewing, etc), it could actually be quite usable.

I think that looks pretty damn cool as is.

Received mine today, what a great looking poster, even cooler full size, and framing it really adds a nice touch of class to it, even if it's a $13 frame from Walmart, thanks for the info Josh.

Out of curiousity, I wonder if there are variants. Mine doesn't have a release date and just says coming soon. It's a double-sided 27x40 one.

A buddy of mine out in L.A. just e-mailed me and said he's going to the Arclight on the 19th to see TDK. Said he'd snap some photos of the Bat Pod and whatever else was on display.

Chicago was kinda lame. It was cool to get the swag, though you had greedy people grabbing more of everything so I couldn't get a keychain. They had plenty of newspapers left, you'd think there would be a lot more of pins and keychains.

I ran just so I could see a tiny bat symbol (that took them an hour to get right) on the Sears tower.

I expected more than that. Also, they didn't even tell us it was over. We waited until there was about 30 or less of us left.

From IMDB:

Batman Movie Sends U.S. Theatres Scrambling To Open Doors

9 July 2008 7:04 AM, PDT

Tickets for the new Batman movie The Dark Knight are so in demand, movie theatres across America plan to open all night to accommodate filmgoers.

The film, which officially opens in the U.S. next week, has sparked a frenzy among American moviegoers, who want to catch a glimpse of Heath Ledger's highly-anticipated performance as The Joker as early as possible.

Some movie theatres across the U.S. have added 6am screenings for film fanatics who can't be accommodated at the earlier midnight and 3 am showings.

Online ticket vendor Fandango.com reports over 1,500 showings for The Dark Knight have been added to theatre rosters across America. In a recent survey, the website estimated 38 per cent of ticket buyers planned to take time off work to see the superhero flick.

Batman Begins, the series' last installment, earned over $200 million (GBP100 million) at the U.S. box office after opening in the summer of 2005.

There must be. Mine has the July 18 date, and it's a double-sided 27x40.

On a side note, I'm finally going to dip my feet in the realm of flipping figures on eBay. I was lucky enough to find a MM Joker buried at K-Mart today, so I'm selling my loose Joker and this carded one as a set.

Normally, I'd feel bad about it, but my wife just lost her job--so any money would be nice. I'm crossing my fingers I don't have to cancel the HT figures. She's been very understanding about why I really "need" to keep the order (I'll be working nearly every waking hour to compensate for her temporary loss, so I need something to show for it...plus the money's already set aside).

Quick question guys. Does the regular BD verion of BB include the prologue?

All of the Blu-ray discs will have the prologue. There is no difference. The "Limited Edition" is actually just the Blu-ray disc with added collectible goodies packaged with it.

Oh, and I am currently watching the prologue in 1080p HD goodness!!! SO AMAZING!

sounds like a stupid question, but themidnight showings for this movie. Is it thursday at midnight or friday at midnight??

I think the coming soon may be the International version.

Good spot, I just noticed that it has a UK web address on it. No biggy really, the important words are the right language and all and I got one without breaking the bank for a poster, so I'm happy.

No early shows for me. Just normal opening day hours. BLAH!
Anyway, I will see it twice on Friday.

I got the Pod poster, I prefer it over the standing around Batman one. Bats in action is my thing! Broken glass, wideopen engine midair action! Bring it! :rock Already framed and on my wall!

I personally think that Batpod poster is goofy looking.
