I was just wondering. Do you guys think TDK original posters will increase in value after the film's release, or decrease like the Indiana Jones advertising stuff?

Some of those posters are going for outrageous amounts on eBay.

I think they're going to go for more, which is why I dropped $40 on the one I got, I figure it'll be at least double for it after the film's release. I think this film will be very popular and anything limited and rare, like these theatrical only posters, will go for high prices later on. I've seen a fair ammount of official posters for sale in the usual places and it doesn't seem the nicer theatrical ones will be made available in that manner. Certainly no store will have them in the size and style of the theater copies.

I totally agree. This Film may soon easily be defined as one of the, if not THE Best Comic Book Film ever made. Up there with "Superman The Movie".

Dude, seriously, this movie could out rank "Aliens" as my favourite movie ever. I'm not saying that it is yet, but it COULD. I know, crazy!!!!!

Whoa, Easy Bro. :lol

"Seriously" ... the Joker Posters will always hold more value over time IMO, not only because of Heath's passing and the fact it was his last film, but more importantly because of the performance he gave to us.

No, crazy is prepaying for a HT Joker figure now at Toys2.:monkey5:monkey5:monkey5

This could very well be my favorite film of all time, too. Not trying to get too fanboy-ish, but we'll see...very soon...

I really hope you guys won't be dissapointed. It seems like people are hyping and expecting this to be the greatest movie ever made. Am I excited? HELL YES! But I'm trying not to get too excited, so I won't be KOTCS dissapointed.

i don't think i can help my anticipation! I haven't even seen one trailer for the movie. The first one was one of the greatest movies I have ever seen (no, it didn't outrank Aliens), but this one I am just dying.

I like Batman Begins, but IMO, it wasn't nearly as satisfying, or entertaining as Batman '89. As long as TDK is better than BB, I will be pleased.

All of the Blu-ray discs will have the prologue. There is no difference. The "Limited Edition" is actually just the Blu-ray disc with added collectible goodies packaged with it.

Oh, and I am currently watching the prologue in 1080p HD goodness!!! SO AMAZING!

Thank You! I can't wait to pick this up!

I know I am pumped for it. Just picked up Begins on Blu-Ray today (finally got my HD TV and PS3 :banana) and just got done watching the prologue again. :rock:rock:rock

I don't think there's any chance whatsoever that this flick will be a colossal disappointment like Indy IV was for me.

I recently got a 50" Samsung HD Plasma, now I just need a PS3 as well, what games did you get with it? I can't wait, I watched a movie in Blu Ray only once and it was awesome!

I'm glad you got some Blu-ray goodness, bro! After one month from today, we'll be talking about how much we want the Dark Knight Blu-ray to come out!!:lol :drool

I watched an interview with Ledger on YouTube, he said when he was growing up, he didn't have any Batman comics around. Only lots of Archie comics as he grew up with 2 or 3 sisters.

I think it was a darkhorizons interview. :looks up keywords on yahoo: Oh ok, He said he hates comic book movies. Stuff like that really dosen't matter to me. As long as the actor puts on a great performance like Heath did.

Los Angeles (E! Online) - Just call him the Crack of Dawn Knight.

Movie theaters are adding 6 a.m. opening-day showings of The Dark Knight to meet demand created by sold-out midnight and 3 a.m. screenings.

"It's normal for movies like to this start at midnight," says Chad Hartigan, a box office analyst for Exhibitor Relations Co.

But 6 a.m. screenings?

"That's not normal," Hartigan says.

There are no hard numbers for how many theaters will stay open as the witching hour turns to the rise-and-shine hour at 6 a.m. on July 18, when The Dark Knight debuts. Overall, Hartigan says he expects the movie to play at 3,800-3,900 theaters during its opening weekend.

According to Ted Hong, vice president of marketing for the online ticket service Fandango, the unusual 6 a.m. show times are indicators of unusually strong interest.

"The Dark Knight is our fastest selling film in wide release this year," Hong says. "It trumps Iron Man, Sex and the City, Indiana Jones [and] WALL-E at the same point in their sales cycles—and it's even outpacing last year's Spider-Man 3 and Pirates [of the Caribbean: At World's End]."

Per Fandango, The Dark Knight will bow dark and extremely early in midnight showings on more than 1,500 screens. (Fandango and E! Online are both owned by Comcast.)

The service says "many" of those 12 a.m. screenings are sold out in cities both expected (New York, the model for Batman's troubled Gotham City) and not (Boise, Idaho; Council Bluffs, Iowa; etc.). MovieTickets.com, another online ticketing service, reported a total of 140 Dark Knight sell-outs as of today.

In a summer led by the $311 million-grossing Iron Man, The Dark Knight has been regarded as the blockbuster to beat. A sequel to Christopher Nolan's hit franchise reboot, Batman Begins, the new movie is receiving ecstatic early reviews—Variety called it "enthralling"—and Oscar buzz for the late Heath Ledger for his performance as the seriously unhinged Joker.

As early as two weeks ago, three weeks before the July 18 debut, Fandango was reporting "dozens" of premiere-night sell-outs. As of 10 a.m. this morning, still a good eight days before B-Day, The Dark Knight was accounting for 51 percent of all tickets sold by the service. At MovieTickets.com, the film was doing more business than six of that company's Top 10 all-time hits, including The Passion of the Christ and the second Star Wars prequel, Attack of the Clones.

Says Hong: "All indicators point to [next Thursday] as a very busy night at theaters across the country."
