Is Batman going to be in the new Batman movie?

All I've seen is ^^^^ about Ledger as the Joker.

It's nice to see the media and studio combining their efforts to exploit his death to their benefit.

Well, I think the studio probably would have done the same thing whether he passed or not, the entire production team firmly stands behind the quality of Heath's work and plus Batman sells himself, you don't need to push that with Begins already doing that, now it's time to market the upped anti, which is the threat Joker stands as. However as far as critics and all that, they're going to put focus on Ledger for having passed away.

In todays current situation (dollar) is it even worth filming up here anymore?

I don't know, but I was very happy to see that Chris Carter dragged his crew back up there for the X-Files sequel. Some things are just made better in Canada - X-Files episodes and beer.

Yeah, that's exactly what's happening.

You know why? Carter is very loyal to Vancouver, I remember him making sure to thank the city when he recieved an award (don't remember exactly which one, maybe peoples choice) X-Files was an amazing show..................oh wait, back on topic!

Sorry to derail.
Anyhoo....hopefully we can all make it to Friday without gagging on the hype. I'm really psyched for this, I just hope it doesn't turn into another Indiana Jones. Let's just enjoy it and not try to own it.

I don't think this movie will dissappoint, at the least, it'll satisfy as much as Begins, but my guess is for people that liked Begins, at a minimum this film will give them another dose of that enjoyment. Nolan's got a style, and any Batman movie he does is just going to exist within that style of his and the Batman world is diverse enough there shouldn't be any worry in a 3rd film, if he does one, of him burning out his best on part 1 and 2.

I there's one thing I do have faith in sight unseen it's that Chris Nolan is a man with a plan.

I like his style, I enjoyed Insomnia with Williams and Pacino, I felt the Prestige was a great film.

One thing I put faith in with Nolan Batman is that Nolan's got a fixed idea on the Batworld he wants to create and sticks by it, him and Bale are a great pairing like Depp and Burton, and he's got a great supporting crew for bringing his vision to the screen.

I've heard things about TDK that have me nervous, but it's my trust in Nolan knowing what he's doing with his world that it'll all turn out for the best.

Or mabye......just mabye, Ledger created a proformence that made me people go...HOLY ^^^^!

Remember, the second trailer came out with I am Legend...everyone was blown away. BEFORE Heath died. If he was still allive, it would be no diffrent.

So dont give bull^^^^ excuses. People have been waiting for a new Joker since the end of Begins, everyone knew from the start the hype would be more on The Joker then Batman.

Hard to believe the mans only 6 years older than me.................:( am I that old? Nolan definetly rocks big time!

Claiming Nicholson's Joker is funny while Ledger's Joker is evil is a retarded notion. Nicholson's Joker was evil to the bone and twisted as hell. Talking to corpses he just murdered, mutilating a woman with acid, shooting one of his own men. Wanting to kill an entire city. Basically there was nothing funny about him, he WAS only funny to himself. There is no doubt in my mind that both Joker's are just as psychotic and evil. Nicholson's Joker is just more heavy on the laughs and jokes.

He was not evil. He was a cruel man, killed people, but he wasnt EVIL. Freddy (Nightmare 1) is EVIL. Michael Myers is EVIL. Hannibal Lector is evil...Jack was a crazy killer, not a total nutcase who kills, and taunts with no remorce. He looks evil.

I still like Jack's Joker, but it sure as hell isnt scary.

Oh and saying this film is a "Pg13 kids film" is a huge retarded notion. This isnt R, but im sure it'll be close. This is not a "toy selling movie" like the other Batmans were.

I think this movie is going to be one of implication. A lot of violent acts will be setup to the point where mature audiences will know what's coming, but younger would have to see it happen to know so it retains a PG-13, which is actually better filmmaking, it's much more powerful to hint at something and stir the mind than to just show it.

For example
In a clip, Joker throws a thug at his guys and sends him off telling him he'll feed the guy to his dogs after holding a knife up to him. I'm sure we see nothing, but with the setup in the movie of Joker's brutality, you'll watch things like this in the film and picture what actually happens to people and what you come up with could be far worse than the director might have shot, so the film ends up with a greater impact on the audience.

Crazy killers are evil, nutcases atleast have some excuse. What are you talking about? Besides the chemicals screwed with Jacks brain he was very crazy "i'm glad your death"

Neither is Ledger's Joker, he is more of an anarchistic psycho punker. He is not some kind of Myers.

Neither was Returns, i think they actually pulled some toys of the market since parents were furiated at the movie. A critic at the time called it a sick and twisted nihilistic movie. Sam Hamm mentioned that they were never making a movie for kids to begin with. By the way TDK is already selling lots of toys.

Another question...why do the Burton fans deal in absolutes? JACK OR BUST! KEATON! BALE IS A SISSY!

(Its not just here, but everywhere I go on the internet)

Come on guys! Im a Burton fan! I used to watch the movie all the time when I was little, I dressed like Batman, the Joker, beat up my couches like they were robbers, ect. But yet, I can still love the Nolan films because they bring something new to the table, same with the Joker. While I think Jack did a great job, he isnt the only Joker. One of my friends is like this. Even going as far as saying ''Heath deserved what he got for making Brokeback."

WHAT THE ^^^^ IS THAT!? Whats wrong with these people! Do they all need enemas or something!??

Who's scarier to meet in a back ally way? A clown with a funny grin? Or a weird, badly painted, dude with a smile cut into his face...

I'd run faster if Ledger's was coming after me.

It's mostly the other way around, i'm fine with Bale as batman. I just think Keaton is the best.

That's why i really want to see TDK.

What's that got to do with Burton's batman? Sounds more like a fundamentalist christian than a Burton fan. Burton are generally to invidualistic to make such horrible statements. Heath's performance in Brokeback Mountain was great, a very good actor.

Whats wrong with you for bringing something up that has no relation to the topic???
