Because if you order from SS you are guaranteed to get hit with FedEx and customs charge. Order from some eBay dealers and you A: get it faster, B: get free shipping, C: get it for a cheaper or similar cost to SS.
Sideshow works for US, it does not for international sales.

Just arrived safe & sound!
I could hear something rattling around inside, but it was just one of the red (wheel) locking pins that had worked its way loose. No visible defects of any kind. Now I just have to assemble the rest without breaking anything myself!

Did you mean whatever state BBTS is in? Because it would not make sense to go with Sideshow (California) if you had to pay taxes AND premium price... every other seller would be a better choice. Free shipping and reward points will not negate the extra price.
But even if you have to pay taxes with BBTS, you have another seller AE (which is always a better price in the end than Sideshow). And if you live in AE's state, then go with BBTS. There never really is a reason to go with SS's higher prices unless it's an EX.

But you gotta remember that since people who live in California also have to pay taxes on their figure. So sometimes with free shipping, and reward points, it can be the same deal to go with sideshow. But you also get to accumulate rewards points for future purchases. Not mention their customer service is top notch.

SS now shows a Sept date for availability. I'm on flex til November but I'm tempted to pay the balance and see if I can get one early!

With ca taxes and shipping, im at $522....but flex play and thier customer service , espucally with issues concerning the tumbler, are keepibg me happy.....

Flexpay okay... but people act as if every other retailer doesn't have amazing service. AE and BBTS are equal to them (and they packout by default, without a stupid $10 extra charge). AE deals with Sideshow so you're pretty much getting SS's service with them.

Yeaaaaa I know, but I'm 50-50 on whether I should keep it or not. I wanted to cancel initially but there was a cancellation fee so I figured just buy it and resell to get my money back, but I'm still not sure

I got mine yesterday from BBTS and it's awesome! Nothing was broken, the paint was perfect, and all of the lights worked! I was so relieved; I was preparing myself all week for some breakage and the huge hassle of shipping it back for a replacement. I guess I lucked out.
I was also very happy with BBTS's packaging. Mine came in one of their giant boxes with the Hot Toys brown box inside wrapped in bubble wrap. Unfortunately I won't be able to display it until I get a house of my own; my apartment is too small. For now it will sit in my old closet at my dad's house...

Mine showed up at my local comic store tonight, and it's fantastic! No broken bits, the wheels are firmly in place, and the leds are super bright. And everyone was right. You think you know how big it is from all the pics, but it's a truly awesome sight to behold the first time you take it out of the box. Definitely one of the top three things I own.

After waiting a few months, my Tumbler finally arrived from BBTS. Not only was the packaging above great, this thing is absolutely beautiful. Here is a quick picture of yesterday's fun!

Got this beast in today and all I can say is DAMN its cool. Can't stop looking at it, even my GF was like "**** that looks awesome". The only bad thing is like a *******, I broke two of the spoilers but it still looks great so I'm happy. Other then that I couldn't happier. All I have to do now is find a place to display it.
