The problem with ordering stuff like this off Ebay is if there is something wrong with it, chances are you are stuck with it. At least with Sideshow you can get a replacement or refund.

That's insane. Shouldn't cost that much! No way!

A tip that might help: if you ask the sellers to lower the declared value on the box and mark it as a gift you won't have to pay ridiculous import taxes.

Well here in Chile that's kinda random. Sometimes you get "caught" by customs even if the box is marked as a gift, but sometimes even if the box is marked for $415 you don't get "caught".. just luck? I'm not sure what is... acording to the Chilean law, any import over $30 value, pays 26% on taxes.

So that's why I just can't run the risk on ebay, a guy from Hong Kong was selling the Tumbler for $680 +$200 (for shipping), that's insane... and I may have to pay taxes anyway! so the final price might be $1109 including taxes.

At the moment I'm with SSC for $813+fedex fees...

I'm afraid on Fedex fees... they use to charge a 30% of value here on Chile.. That's around $200..

Rodan, Tyranus: Por qué no hablamos en buen "shileno" y nos aconsejamos de donde encargar figuras: ebay, bbts, SDC, Kametoys, etc... Jajaj es broma no creo que al resto del foro les gustaría que postiaramos en castellano.

Now seriously, last time I bought from ebay I ordered 2 HT figures (Falconer and Tracker Predators) and when the figures arrive to Chile the post mail charged me in taxes about US$ 160!!! (no se a cuanto esta el dolar pero fueron como 83 lucas), I've bought HT figures before on Ebay and never had to pay taxes. After that bad expierence I decided to preorder the Batman DX12 an Joker 2.0 from Kametoys, cuz I didn't want to risking of paying ridiculous taxes. I've never ordered form SDC o bbts... Are those trusted places to order? Have you paid taxes in Chile buying form them?

You have to pay taxes from anywere you order it... So yes... It sucks... On ebay there chances are that you will charged or not, so mayne you just have been lucky... (tambien si importas muy seguido te califican como vendedor no registrado y te suben mas el impuesto)
For now I'm stiking to kametoys, they now have lower prices and free shipping for HT and SSC figures inside chile, so for me is the best deal I can get (vivo cerca de chillan, el envio del tumbler me salia 25 lucas y ahora es gratis)
And also they will answer if something is wrong with your figure, and thats something we can't get from ss for free.

Not true. Most of the bigger ebay sellers are just as good at customer service (if not better) than SS or HT or heaven forbid EB.

Remember you always have 45 days to dispute with Paypal.

SS works out well for folk in the US and then Canada. But not internationally. ebay is cheaper and faster. The only SS orders I generally make are for and EX item or a SS product that
might take months to get elsewhere. Because SS ship with Fed-ex internationally you 100% HAVE to pay customs duty, they bill you for it. 80-90% of my ebay purchases slip through with no duty.

Wow.. Wish I could help you more. I'd seriously help an hermano out if I could. But shipping charges might be high from here and if there is some quality issue with the Tumbler it would make things very complicated.

Couldn't resist the pressure, and cancelled this from SSC .. I was checking at Fedex website and acording to them my town is out of their "territory" so they weill charge $50/lb or something like that, so acording to their simulation I should pay $1025 on their fees only, I got panic and cancelled...


Now... I'll se how to get this...

Holy... something like that happens to a friend, he buy a guitar... At the end he pays for 4 guitars...

Can't wait to get this I actually cancelled my SSC order a while back thinking I could just pick this up later in the year and I was wrong seeing now that Its on backorder. I was lucky to pick it up on eBay out of all places for 499.99 free shipping will arrive this week can't wait.

Finally decided to place my order. Been going back and forth trying to decide on this. But finally figured that I would regret not getting it later if it sold out. Now to figure out how to display it.

Just saw the pics of the broken wheel. The pics don't really show anything "broken". It just looks like the wheel popped off.

No. It looks like he opened it, noticed the wheel popped off, then just posted pics of it on FB to complain.

He just complained saying "look! This is HT quality!" But if a company was that notorious for that poor of quality, like he complained of, then I wouldn't be spending almost $500 on one of their products. I'm not saying stuff doesn't happen, but it's not worth posting on FB to complain about.

Probably an EB employee who intentionally broke it.
