Look at this comparison between the Prologue and the Blu-Ray release. Notice the feet? This makes me sad. :(

Damn! I would give my left nut to see his feet in that scene. damn this bluray to hell! :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2:monkey2

Getting ready to watch my BR copy now. The only thing I don't like about the Batpod setup is the BR disc goes in the backing. Will get one of my empty DVD cases or CD cases to store the movie and SF.

I think the IMAX has better color. And if you look above the Parking arrow, there is more video on the BR copy than the IMAX copy, so I guess they screwed the footage a bit or this is a haxor job!

yeah the Imax prologue is simply amazing,i saw it so many times on the BB blu ray.

The Prologue is more vivid on my setup, when compared with the Blu-Ray which is toned down and darker. You can also see that the colors are more muted. Look at the yellow newspaper bin and compare.

But...it's ok. WB will re-release :(

On my set it looks ridiculously good... When I could see every individual pore on the Joker's face I couldn't help but say, "Jesus Christ...," even though I was the only one in the room; to my credit, I feel a movie this awesome makes it excusable to talk to oneself while watching it. :wacky

It must be that your version wasn't coded correctly, or you need a firmware update. Otherwise I can't think of an adequate explanation, because this is my most prized blu-ray so far, previously Hellboy II (which is still outstanding and I recommend it to everyone). The Joker and Two-Face look particularly exceptional; one thing that I completely forgot about but which the blu-ray helps one appreciate is the shift in aspect ratios for the action sequences filmed with the IMAX cameras. Eye-popping doesn't even begin to describe this. I'm just basing my experience on my Sony Blu-ray with my Panasonic HDTV, but I couldn't be happier.

It's interesting that the color pallet in the blu-ray as opposed to the BB preview disc appears to be much cooler, and fits in better in the overall feel of the film. I'm glad for that affect with the final product. From the way people were talking about the blue being toned down on the blu-ray and dvd releases, I was becoming concerned, but it ended up fine and unnoticeable, for me at least. My favorite blu-ray by far, no contest.

Also just got the new collector's edition soundtrack today. :rock Had the disposable income from some recent sales, and if you feel like shelling out the cash, I love it. The prologue stands out as a personal favorite, but even the little things I'm glad to see back in that we didn't have originally. For example, Batman's "victory" music which played at the conclusion of BB when he defeated Ra's, and again in TDK when he hurled the Joker off the building. It's brief, but I've always wanted it and am glad. A worthwhile purchase for the obsessed fan. Even the book inside with the photos is a nice touch.:D

and me my right! :D

Seriously though, this after Shawshank Redemption is the BEST looking picture AND sound by far and I too have watch plenty of Blu-Rays!

I was thinking however, I rate TDK 9/10 but would have strongly considered a ten if they could have somehow added this guy to the story!

:D

I dont care if this is the wrong thread, but my DVD had the crazy color filters that people were saying were taken out....whats that mean?

P.S. I was at Best Buy today and saw the Clown and Batman masks sets. My wife and I both agreed they look cheap.

I'm also glad I decided to pass on the Batpod version. It's very small.

I'm more then happy with my "regular" edition on Blu-ray.

The picture quality for me is amazing! (SONY 46" XBR) :rock

Ok, so barely today I opened my Batpod Blu-Ray. Although I was somewhat disappointed by the size, the piece feels nice and sturdy. It is heavy for its size and not at all light.

It came with a nice sturdy cardboard envelope with the digital copy disc inside, instructions and contents of the Blu-Ray disc. The envelope has the Batman standing in front of the burning building artwork.

I don't regret my purchase. One question I have, does the regular Blu-Ray edition have any sort of booklet or anything else inside?

I also never feel the need to buy into the gimmick of paying more for cheap add-ins that are overpriced. all I want is the movie.

The clown mask is very nice actually. Much larger than the Crystal Skull or Iron Man busts. I've got a nice line up of the three though. Its a great summer line up :lol

I thought the masks looked fine, just something I wasn't interested in. I really like the Batman mask from Target, but others didn't. I haven't had time to check it but this set says on the outside that it has a 40 minute featurette on it. Do they all have that? I don't have my BR Batpod version yet to see if the same thing(s) are on it.

I love all that extra stuff! That's why I get so disappointed that I can't get the Ex. versions of Sideshow figures.

Indy :(
