God knows the company who made it. It only 720p but I probably couldn't tell the difference from the distance I sit.

Is Future Shop the same as FYE, here in the US?

I'm not sure what FYE stands for but Future Shop is (was) 100% Canadian, recently they were entirely bought out by Best Buy. However even though Best Buy is everywhere in Canada they decided to keep all Future Shop locations operational.

So what is FYE?

That's a really good question. Are you thinking one owns the other? I know we have FYE here in the U.S. but I've never seen a Future Shop. So then again, maybe they aren't related.

No FYE and Future Shop are not related but what I mean't was Best Buy in the States came in and bought all Future Shops (Canadian). So Best Buy owns all. From what I know Future Shop had an expansion (mid 90's) into the States and failed.

You know I wish we had those here in the U.S. I really like the LE Steelbooks they release. Best Buy releases a few here and there, but not like Future Shop. The Steelbooks are growing on me. I got one for the Hancock DVD release and a few others (ie Bourne Ultimatum, etc.) but I notice Future Shop had one for SM3 among others that I would have liked to have seen released here in the U.S.

I dunno about single disc releases, but Doctor Who Season 4, which was a steelbook, was the best multi-disc packaging I've seen. I wish all multi-disc sets came in steelbooks.

Thanks for the IMAX suggestions - am so glad I got to see TDK again in a theatre, and IMAX no less.

Switching aspect ratios in-movie on blu-ray is going to be a bit distracting though, isn't it? I imagine a HD widescreen tv will go from being slightly letterboxed on top and bottom to having the black bars down the side of the screen? Or will it just expand to fill the whole screen? Either way, it wasn't distracting in a theatre since the regular shots pretty much filled your field of view anyway, so to see the additional areas shot in IMAX you actually had to shift your focus, but watching it on a TV screen (even a huge one) it's going to be so much more obvious...

I heard that the discs sit in the black "case" behind the Batpod. Is that true? And is the Batpod separate from the black case that's placed behind it in the box? (ie Stand alone)

Yes, it is, but I think it all sits together on a base.
