Yeah I wondered what that huge harness was, this explains it, along with the scarring aling his back which probably has something to do with it.

Also the makeup of his vest is awesome - parts of tents... jeeps... awesome

Yeah, that really added depth to Bane's character and gave a little insight on how he may have lived.

the more I see it makes it the best ending to a trylogy ever.
 
These pieces were also needed in exactly identical multiples, and were a very important part of achieving his extreme silhouette; tinkering with his proportions to help make him look more bulky, animalistic and aggressive.

In my mind I'd see Nolan's Robin/John Blake wearing one of those extra cowls that Bruce Wayne and Alfred ordered instead of Catwoman's goggles.

Well, without the ears.

Maybe with a modified Begins suit with components of the TDK.
 
For me, it doesn't beat the ending of Shawshank Redemption. Or It's A Wonderful Life. Or maybe E.T.

The last of Shawshank Redemption was awesome. The book was fantastic too and the movie left so much brilliance out.
