Proof your generation is ****ing stupid as all hell. :lecture:lecture:lecture:exactly:

I'd have to agree.

TDKR >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Burton's Batman

I enjoyed Batman and Batman Returns - they were cheesy, fun, popcorn type of movies. But I love Nolan's Batman a hell of a lot more...something I will rewatch again and again. Can't say that for the other Batmans.

To be honest though - it really is unfair to compare them. Aside from being Batman they are such different types of films, imo.

I agree that I enjoy the Nolan films more, and that Returns is cheesy. But 89' Batman is just pure nostalgia. :) I remember being a kid and fast-forwarding through all the slow parts.

Since that trailer mentioned Office Space... I know a lot of people like that movie, and it is actually an okay flick, but I can only watch it every blue moon. I recently sat through two viewings in one week and I don't think I would ever want to do that again... ever.

I love Jennifer Aniston and all, but not even she is worth suffering through Milton the Mumbler and Bill the Bull**** Boss. Milton's just highly aggrivating to me, for whatever reason(s), but Bill reminds me far too much of one of my old bosses. Ugh.

I'd have to agree.

I agree that it's nostalgic and probably why so many people care so much for it. I still have the Batman clock I bought when that movie came out.

But your last sentence says a lot. How great is the movie if you feel the need to fast forward through parts of it? :lol

BLASPHEMY!!!

Office Space is a great movie, The Greatest movie

All movies have slow parts, especially if you've seen them a lot. I definitely skip parts of Batman '89 and go straight to the good stuff.

You better believe when I watch TDK I fast forward and skip all the Rachel and court crap. :lol After the garage scene with Batman it's straight to either Alfred and Bruce talking about getting mauled by a tiger or the Mob scene.

Bet after a while TDKR is no different when it settles on DVD and blu ray. STRAIGHT TO STOCK MARKET CRASH WE GO (after Catwoma kicks ass in her scenes).

gave you a headache?
Yes. I distinctly recall that movie causing an intense, painful reaction in my crainial region, the like of which very few cinematic films have ever truly succeeded in doing... and I've seen a vast array of motion pictures in my nearly 30 years of existence, dear friend.

Damn - really? If I'm going to break out the DVD and sit down to watch a movie - I'm going to pick a movie that I'll watch from beginning to end. But then...I also don't own any movies on DVD/Bluray that I wouldn't watch the whole thing of. So no Burton Batman movies in my collection. :lol

Meh, if it's not worth suffering through the bad stuff and you're forced to skip to more interesting material... well, let's just say I'd be more inclined to throw something else in. Usually I can manage to trudge through, like a good trooper. :lol

the beginning of This scene looks VERY familiar....
like we saw it in Rises actually, ......with the walkway and everything

I don't know, I've seen all the Batman films a lot (well save for Batman and Robin). So much so that I can quote them almost word for word. :lol

The Dark Knight Rises is obviously an exception considering it all hasn't sunk in yet. Once that sucker comes out on DVD/Blu Ray, it'll be burned into my memory as well.

Bane's lolzy voice is already highly memorable and quotable for me though.

Yeah there will be times where I'll come back to something, say Batman '89 or TDK, and I'll get back in the mood and watch the whole thing instead of skipping, but it would have to be a certain time frame. With TDKR this year, I watched the Burton and Nolan films non-stop. Got my fill between the blu rays, spike tv, FX and the marathon on G4 a few weeks ago. NO MORE. :lol

There were times where I'd come home and Die Hard or Goodfellas would be on every week and I'd watch them non-stop.

I really can't wait for it to come out on Blu ray...I'll probably watch it a couple times over that first weekend. And probably rewind most of the Bane scenes. I really loved him as a villain. :lol

:lol :lol

I really like Hardy as an actor...but have to admit his lips distract me. They are so plump! :lol Don't have to worry about that in TDKR though. :woo

When I was a kid I fast forward through those parts. Now, when I watch a movie (batman specifically) I always watch them from start to finish.

Yeah, the bluray will spend a lot of time in my player.

So, the whole time he was playing a balding, dying Picard, you were staring at his lips? o_O
