Hardy pulled off the look just fine. He blended solid acting with a solid look as the character. I will say that while acting is important you do have to have that person be able to pull off the look. If you have the greatest actor in the world but they don't at least make most of the audience believe it doesn't work.

Now, Nolan did neuter Bane a bit at the end IMO but I won't fully open that can of worms again. :lol

:lol :lol :lol

I do have to say though that post Avengers and TDKR.

I'm still highly interested in Nolan trilogy (and 89/Returns) collectibles, but have zero desire for anything Avengers related, not even Hulk. :horror

I need a Batman avatar with sparkling tooth and bugged out eyes. :lol

:yess:

I wonder how much of that has to do with the fact that Marvel universe is very much active right now and every constume is upgraded pretty much with every new film, so there is no definitive figure of any Marvel character from those films. Just the current version.

Of course there is no definitive Nolan bats figures either really, as they keep upgrading them.

He probably would have - he was near his peak physical condition then.

I hope Coulson comes in a body bag.

No Ra's, more RE Alices, Doc Oct, Kyle Reese.... but hot toys makes a boring ass Coulson figure.

That's only because you're poor. :lol :nana:

Coulson is one of HT's best figures they've ever done. The likeness is amazing.

But i'd only buy him for 125.

Not by a long shot

Gary Oldman's given performances truly worthy of the classic character that is Gordon in the Batman universe.

Who the f is Coulson?

Uv Coarse.

I'd rank the character of Gordon right below Batman/Bruce and Joker

I'm not just talking about the Nolan films, i'm talking about the Batman universe in general.

Joker challenged Batman on a mental level, same with Crane. Bane isn't better trained than Batman. Skill-wise, he's his equal. As a matter of fact, if memory serves, Bane even says this. The whole concept of Bane (which you've failed to grasp) is that he's physically superior to Batman and challenges Batman on that level, the physical level, a level to which Batman's never been challenged. And Batman fails, initially trying to match Bane physically. It's only later, when Batman uses his noggin (both the film and even in the comics) that Batman comes out the victor.

You're misreading my posts. Bane WAS a physical threat. But it wasn't all because he weighed more and was bigger on screen. Bane's was at his peek physical training and talent (much like Bruce in BB). Batman and Bane were not equal (skill wise) during the sewer fight, this is obviously clear. By your logic, you're saying that whoever is bigger wins. This is so false.

They don't make binoculars powerful enough for some of the shortsightedness in here.
:lol :lecture

Btw I don't know if Bane was at his physical peak - he was clearly badly injured and was also much older than Bruce (it is implied). It seems he's spent many many years as a mercenary after being banished by Ra's.

But he was definitely in better shape than Batman in the sewer fight, that much is clear.
