BTW, I'm just preordering the BB steelbook now, and at checkout the Reborn doc seems to be on their service "cinemanow". Not too sure if this means it's not actually on the BR or that you have to go online to view it (which would be a total bummer).

The Dark Knight Rises. :yess:

Oh, pay no mind to his defeated broken face there splattered on the ground.

That set just screams victory. :lol

Your looking too much at the comic bane, there's nothing in the film that leads Bane to be this bruting muscle, it's skill. Even Alfred alludes to this when at the monitors with Bruce.

Hell, even in the sewer fight Bane wasn't using force, he was using skill. Grabbing batman's fists, doging him, throwing him off the walkway. He literally tired batman out before he broke him. The only thing leading to the "brute" aspect of your argument is Bane taking a couple punches from Batman which didn't even phase Bane. But that is more or less Bane showing how ready he was, compared to batman. "victory has defeated you."

So once again, the argument is futile. Either way you look at it, Bane's size matters not. :lecture

Uh........... wrong. :lol Your quote "Victory has defeated you" was meant as "Complacency has made you weak." He's implying Batman isn't as strong physically. The second bolded part was absolutely a show of might, as was my earlier example of him breaking the column in the second fight. There are other examples too, like picking up a man with a single arm and even the way he easily lifts Batman to break his back. Sure there was the psychological aspect, but Nolan expected us to believe Bane outmatched Batman physically. You can run around with blinders on and dodging the truth of that, but it doesn't mean it wasn't all there for everyone to see.

I would have to agree with Nam on this subject. Though I think it was pretty obvious Wayne was no match simply based on the fact that his arrogance set him up for defeat. Meaning he was in no shape to be "Batman" after his hiatus. That part of the movie made clear sense to me.

Bane? Yeah, a little too Incredible Hulk to make sense in a Nolan Batman movie.

Obviously Bane was much more powerful than Bats, but the way some people describe it, makes it seem like thats the only reason he defeats batman. No, it's because Bane is better trained and skilled, on top of him being stronger. That's why he defeats batman in the sewers. As for Bane punching the wall, and throwing bats off the walkway, yeah, that could be considered brute strength. Which some of it is. But a lot of it is the LOS's and Ra's training. :lecture

Those skinny little white kids karate chop through bricks all the time. . . .

People have to remember and accept this is Nolan Bane, not comic Bane.

Those skinny little white kids might be able to punch through a brick with a 100% practiced and focused punch, but couldn't bust off a piece of marble column with a punch, let alone walk away from an uncontrolled punch like that completely unscathed. Not even Void agrees with your argument. You might be able to get a high-five from Alex Logan though. :lol

Yeah, but bane isn't a skinny little white kid.

The argument of Bane being clearly better trained? :rolleyes2

Joker challenged Batman on a mental level, same with Crane. Bane isn't better trained than Batman. Skill-wise, he's his equal. As a matter of fact, if memory serves, Bane even says this. The whole concept of Bane (which you've failed to grasp) is that he's physically superior to Batman and challenges Batman on that level, the physical level, a level to which Batman's never been challenged. And Batman fails, initially trying to match Bane physically. It's only later, when Batman uses his noggin (both the film and even in the comics) that Batman comes out the victor.

While I liked Hardys portrayal of Bane, I still think they should have got the Rock to play him. At least he is some that looks powerful, big and can act.

Maybe not the Rock.....

but Daniel Craig would've been perfect!

Now he I can believe can beat the crap out of Christian Bale....errr..Batman

They tried to achieve that kind of lethality with Harding, but I didnt buy it all the time.

Ahh screw it, should've been the Rock. :lol

:nono They didn't want Timothy Dalton pulling a Paul Rubens. :lol

Correct, Hardy could not play Bane any better. Someone else could. :lol
