Another question. I apologize if this has been asked before, I haven't been active in the board. Anyone knows, approximately where the location of the prison pit is, in relation to Gotham? This bothered me a bit after the movie. How the hell could Bruce, get from wherever the pit is, to Gotham in a time or at all for that matter? He has no resources, no money, etc. It's not like he called Alfred to pick him up like in BB.

There was 23 days left between the time Bruce climbed out of the pit and when the bomb would go off.

As for his resources, I just assumed that Bruce planned ahead and had assets he could access if he ever went off the grid. Maybe cash stashed somewhere, a house someplace, etc etc.

Really it's not explained how. I don't believe the location of the pit is disclosed either but I need to comb over the movie one more time. Maybe Alfred mentions it. Can't remember if so or not. Though I don't believe so.

The only way to watch this is in IMAX. Holy balls.

Also, even though it was posted back a few pages, Bane only became interesting when he cried. Then he felt more real. But still a piece of ____.

I wish his death was more....slower.

I was thinking about Bruce's return to Gotham after imprisonment while watching the film the second time and would've really liked it if instead of using the second TDK suit he found in the container base (from TDK), he could have reverted back to the BB suit. Full circle.

It's not like he needed the benefits of the TDK suit for the final battle anyway. And plus, the Nomex survival suit could stop knives. :)

That's how I felt about Talia...____ that _____. :lol

Yeah I wish I saw it in IMAX the first time. I had heard of how many scenes were shot in IMAX, but it wasn't until seeing it that I understood just how many. Only bad thing was that, at least at my IMAX, there was a noticeable difference in clarity between the IMAX-cam shots and the regular shots.

And that whole scene was in the daylight. Nolan said that the suit doesnt film well without shadows. Thus...thats why the TDK suit was invented.

The bit about minimal movement I thought wasn't much of a bother because I thought the BB suit would've gave enough for Batman to have evaded Bane's attacks in the finale, but your point about it looking ugly in daylight is much more convincing.

Still.

I think Talia found a soft spot to stick Batman. But yeah I guess if he were wearing the BB suit it would have stopped the knife as Fox said. "this sucker will stop a knife." or something like that. Why aren't the new suits knife proof?

This. I was thinking the same thing. Before the movie, I was thinking, The armor would've been destroyed by Bane, and Bruce had to resort to wearing the original suit during the final scenes, which would've been awesome. But, yes the original suit doesn't look pretty under a bright light.

Also; in TDKR, walking out of the theatre, I just fel that there wasn't enough Batman screen-time in this one. I love the movie to death, But this is still a Batman movie, and I just don't think there was enough Batman in this one.

So Tom Hardy was CGI to become Bane. I just googled it.

"the suit makes you more vulnerable to knifes and gunfire."
"What about dogs?"

Did you watch TDK? :lol

Looked like a good 6 inch blade between the ribs, which would stop anyone in their tracks.

Jokers was a small blade in the gut and then out, not a half foot knife in your ribs and twisted while some chick spews off her monologue.

The Begins suit would have helped and would have been awesome if he wore it.

Finally saw it tonight. Loved It!! The series is fantastic and will be hard to beat. I am curious if Warner will try to directly/indirectly build on Nolan's world or simply start from scratch again. It is obvious that the public loves Batman so I can't imagine that we will get a 10 year break again.

A few minor criticisms...
1) Talia's death scene was dumb. I felt that she was overacting her final words and her sudden departure.
2) I REALLY wish Nolan had NOT shown Bruce at the end. He did enough by giving us the auto pilot clue. He should have simply shown us Alfred's face (Like Pixar did in Monsters Inc.). I felt that we were treated like we were not smart enough to figure out that Bruce had made a new life for himself.
On the other hand, the obnoxious family behind me was totally surprised when we saw Bruce. One of them said, "What? I thought he died in the explosion?"

I am very sad that we will never get to see Nolan's take on Riddler or Penguin. Great series though!
