The actor looks smaller but I don't know how they did it. Needless to say Bane ended up looking great on screen. The Blu-ray will be great for the extras on this one.

That's what I meant. First time I saw this picture:
Bane-Tom-Hardy.jpg

My initial reaction was. "Meh".
But when I saw that scene in the movie, I thought "Sh#t, it's the fricckin Hulk".

Hardy can get pretty big and built for his film roles, but he is a smaller guy in stature, still great at being larger than life on screen though.

They shot him from low angles most of the time, making him look taller than he really was. Then there are the platform shoes and making sure no one that was taller than him was in frame with him without trick shots.

Hardy said that it was camera trickey and stuff which made him look bigger. Trickery in the sense... he was given smaller props etc etc to make them look much bigger in his hands, mad eto fight much shorter people (specially in the cell scene where he plays protector)... He had bulked up, but he is naturally shorter than Bale by 2 inches...

No denying that he's a great actor. I'm just curious if they "digitally" bulked him up a bit for TDKR. I wanna know, because of reasons.

So yeah back to what I was saying in the other thread Bane's arms looked pretty jacked up as he was climbing down the chain to get to Batman after kicking him over the catwalk. In that moment it just looked bad for Batman. Like Bane is gonna wreck this fool.

Kinda like they do with Vin Diesel, probably very similar to Hardy in their size.

That was the point I think so it worked out good for the filmakers then. :)

Have they ever digitally bulked anybody up in a realistic way for a movie that anyone knows of? Just curious. It's not that hard to go to the gym for 3 months or so is it?

Took me half-year to shape up for my wedding. :lol
That's 5 days a week, of only 2-3 hrs workout/day. I suppose if you workout everyday for like 8 hours, proper diet, it is achievable.

Tom Hardy looked big in Warriors...atleast ripped/cut wise. He looked like a walking steroid in my opinion.

I have always worked out regulary I was massive in my twenties, so I can't imagine digitally bulking up someone for a movie unless there was a shortage of time for the role.

:rotfl But Alfred's been running up and down those stairs for decades!

I'm... pretty sure that it'll take a lot more than that, to make The Batman physically disabled. :monkey1.

Yeah, no ____. Him and Rachel fell from like 80 stories in TDK and they were both fine. Hell, he fell twice from trying to climb out of that prison with a rope tied around his waist that would have snapped a normal persons back just to bounce back and bang out a hundred push ups in him crummy cell. :lol
