Bane's voice kinda did that already.
But just imagine at the end of his Tumbler speech...
"This great city...it will endure...Gotham will survive!......IF YA SMEEEEEEEEELLLLL WHAT BANE....is cookin!" All while the imagine the fire track is playing? Cinematic gold.

Unlike Ledger, Hardy didn't add anything above and beyond special that couldn't be done by the Rock.
Joker benefited from Ledger.
Hardy could've benefited from platform shoes though.
Hardy was good in Inception though, not saying he's a bad actor.
Just saying Bane wasn't anything special or mind blowing.

I don't think he sucked, that taking it too far.
My point was that no actor, not even Hardy, could've saved the character itself, their back story, motivations, etc.
Therefore might as well be the Rock, at least he's big and menacing.

You know what would've cemented Hardy's Bane as a badass for me? If he pimp slapped Talia and told her not to presume to have authority over him. Also, not getting shot by the Bat-pod might've helped a little bit. Honestly, though, I thought he was a badass; it's just that a .50 Caliber round (maybe bigger) is more badass. I mean, come on, how else could that scene have went down? If people were pissed that Bane got blown away, imagine how pissed they'd be if the movie ended with Bane blowing Batman's head off with a shotgun.

that he knew how lame Bane was see! He could have done the weird voice Nolan wanted for the character PERFECTLY!
