I hope WB sends a portion of the movie tickets to the families from a special screening for them.

They've already announced that they're making a sizable donation to the victims and families. And not from a special screening... They're giving it from the the overall box office of the film.

And wofford is right. Bale did this all on his own (and on his own dime), unannounced.

Tragedies like this are always disheartening. But what's easy to forget is that they almost always also show the GOOD side of humanity... that, deep down, most people are good at heart, and we will help each other.

Regardless of any past proclivities, Bale will always be considered one of the good guys now. When the chips were down, the dude did more than just release a statement through a publicist... He went out there and visited the victims and their families, and for obviously no other reason than to show them he cares. Who needs a guy in a Batman suit?

Well, I'm late to the party as ever, but this was awesome. Enjoyed it much more than I anticipated. People clapped and were very cordial like it was an event rather than just a film. One lady with a ton of kids was even telling everyone around her that she can't wait for part 4. :rotfl

Anyways, was only disappointed with Hathaway as Catwoman or maybe Catwoman in general :dunno but the wife thought she was great, so I shut up and accepted being wrong. :lol

:(

I've been thinking about raising some money for the victims and their families, just from the fans and people who wish to send a positive message about humanity in the face of such senseless violence

Im open to ideas

Same

see if Dave can make it happen on behalf of the forum and its partners.

I'm ready to donate to the charities involved.

That would actually be pretty awesome. In fact, I'll match any $ I've spent (or will spend) on TDKR related stuff this year (which is no small change :horror)

:yess::yess:

Batman was right what he told Joker this same message when his boat scheme failed.

This will also help Bale heal.

Can you imagine how he feels that they went to see him play Batman.

I feel for Bale and all involved with the movie.

I'm sure there was a lot of guilt, or something resembling as much, going around, but it was neither Warner Bros, Bale's, or the theater manager's fault. To quote Alfred, "it was him, and him alone."

Class act is right. What a great man.

And they never got to see him as Batman in the film either considering the point in time this incident happened.

So when is Bale going to visit Holmes dressed as Batman and beat the ____ out of him?

I don't see what was wrong with Catwoman. She was gorgeous. She was deadly. She was believable. She was also rebellious and morally compromised, yet compassionate and playfull at the same time. She was Catwoman.

The only thing I didn't like about Hathaway's particular incarnation of Catwoman was that, when in "goggle mode," she lost the cat ears. Otherwise, she was freaking perfect, in my opinion.

I'm a huge Catwoman fan. I think she's the best female character in all of existence. I was very concerned about Hathaway as Catwoman, but after having seen the film, I'm happy with the way things turned out.
