I hope WB sends a portion of the movie tickets to the families from a special screening for them.
They've already announced that they're making a sizable donation to the victims and families. And not from a special screening... They're giving it from the the overall box office of the film.
And wofford is right. Bale did this all on his own (and on his own dime), unannounced.
Tragedies like this are always disheartening. But what's easy to forget is that they almost always also show the GOOD side of humanity... that, deep down, most people are good at heart, and we will help each other.
Regardless of any past proclivities, Bale will always be considered one of the good guys now. When the chips were down, the dude did more than just release a statement through a publicist... He went out there and visited the victims and their families, and for obviously no other reason than to show them he cares. Who needs a guy in a Batman suit?
