No, but really - He deserves a major Batman-styled ass whoopin'.
I'm sure the inmates in prison would love to give him one. I would be quite surprised if otherwise. Hell, there may be guards eager to do as such, seeing as he diabolically laid a trap for the authorities.

Oh yeah, I have no doubt that something will most likely happen to him in prison. He's a scrawny white guy with red/pink/orange type hair who did something absolutely horrible - that's pretty much setting yourself up for disaster in prison. The rest of his life is going to be absolute hell & nobody is going to feel bad.

What little of that is left. With any luck the justice system will have a needle in him by the year's end.

This guy will try to pull the "coo coo" card and he may very well be, but that doesn't change the fact that this was a highly premeditated attack that took the lives of 12 innocent people.

These weren't cops gunned down in front of a police station by disgruntled mobsters, or soldiers ambushed in their camp by terrorists in the middle east. This was in a theater. A peaceful setting were families go to enjoy themselves. He went in prepared for a war... and that's exactly what he should get in court. I hope the prosecutors fight his lawyers to the bitter end and win over the court, in favor of the chair.

So when is Bale going to visit Holmes dressed as Batman and beat the ____ out of him?

:exactly:

I don't see what was wrong with Catwoman. She was gorgeous. She was deadly. She was believable. She was also rebellious and morally compromised, yet compassionate and playfull at the same time. She was Catwoman.

The only thing I didn't like about Hathaway's particular incarnation of Catwoman was that, when in "goggle mode," she lost the cat ears. Otherwise, she was freaking perfect, in my opinion.

I'm a huge Catwoman fan. I think she's the best female character in all of existence. I was very concerned about Hathaway as Catwoman, but after having seen the film, I'm happy with the way things turned out.

I have avoided the Batman threads like the plague because I did NOT want any spoilers, so forgive me if I am repeating multiple other posts. Just got back from seeing it with the wife and here are my thoughts:

The good:
-The relationship between Alfred and Bruce was very touching and had a huge impact on the significance of the ending.
-I loved the cave fight with Bane and Batman; having no background music made the fight seem very visceral and when Bane actually broke Batman's back, I whispered, "Oh ____, he actually did it."
-Scarecrow as the judge/jury was a perfect touch; it would have been interesting if Nolan let Dent survive to be the Two-Face lawyer.
-Talia Al' Ghul was a great plot twist that was unexpected. I was clueless that she was a villain until Gordan explains that Bane will keep the bomb trigger "close to his heart" and "with the only person he trusts" and I started to connect the two.
-The ending was perfect. "Batman" dies, but Bruce Wayne finally gets to live.
-Finally, I thought the social overtones of the film were great. The abuses of the rich in capitalism and the tyranny of socialism. The business backstabbing and the manipulation of the stock market. I don't know if anyone noticed, but Bane frequently would hold his jacket in the same manner that Lenin did and several of Bane's comments in front of the prison and at the football field were themes taken out of A Tale of Two Cities. I think Nolan intentionally was trying to show the evils of both political extremes.

The Meh:
-Hathaway as Catwoman was just meh. She isn't very attractive nor was she convincing as a seductive super thief. It wasn't that she was bad, she was just not impressive. My wife thought she was better than Michelle Piefer and liked how Hathaway's Catwoman had more depth.
-Worried about WB trying to build upon Robin discovering the Batcave.

The bad:
-Bane's death had to be one of, if the not the, worst evil villain deaths of all time. He gets...shot. That's it.
-At the beginning of the film, Bruce has many health issues including no cartilage in his knees. He gets a robotic brace for his leg. Gets his back broken. Goes to a Moroccan prison and miraculously heals from all of these in a matter of three months? Heals SO well that he is able to actually improve and beat Bane?

Tried to order The Art and Making of The Dark Knight Trilogy book on Amazon.

"Usually ships within 1 to 3 months"

WTF.

If you have a Barnes and Noble near you just go there and get it. That's where I got mine.

There's also the Batmobile book as well. That's a good read and has never before seen pics of all 5 Batmobiles.

What Wofford said, they're good reads. Well, the Art/Making of book and Batmobile book anyway.

The Dark Knight Manual is cool but I only like it because of all the little items and trinkets. The "read" is sort of cheesy fan fiction from "Bruce Wayne" himself.

It does provide cool insight though.

I'm considering that too, but wasn't sure if it'd be necessary to have both it and the Art and Making of book. Is there a lot of redundant/overlapping stuff between them?

I'm holding you to it. :stick

No. The manual is more about specs and documents. The art book is mostly set pics and stories.
