Considering the list for what we know is now Catwoman was Keira Knightley, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, Kate Mara, Charlotte Riley and Gemma Arterton, they went with the right choice. Kate Mara I think would be a sidenote in the film as she doesn't have much presence. Charlotte Riley I think is a little too unknown and I feel the only reason she was considered because she is Tom Hardy's lady, Gemma is beautiful but not Selina IMHO and Knightley although gorgeous would have looked ridiculous in any kind of suit.

Jessica Biel could have done it but I don't find her acting to work in a Nolan film, she is too wooden.

I'm happy Hatthaway got the role.

Excited to find out who the other female in the film will be... I hope it's Talia but i'm guessing it's Vicki Vale or something.

Gemma Arterton could've been good.

Anne Hathaway would be my second choice from that list.

Jessica Biel is athletic enough, but her acting has always been the weakest thing in every film I've seen her in. She was sooo wooden in the A-Team.

I heard Natelie Portman was considered at one point. Besides being preggers right now, she's tiny. There's no way I would ever believe her going toe to toe with Christian Bale.

Kate Mara held a badge well in IM2. That's as much as I can say about her.

I've never seen Charlotte Riley act. She's pretty.

Don't like this news. Bane sucks frankly. Its not a "oh hes being played by..." or "oh Nolan can do better then Shumacher" thing. Its not like when Heath was cast, I was still really excited for the Joker to be there. But Bane?

TBH I just don't care about this movie if Banes the bad guy. I know that sounds weird but my interest level just plummited. Don't even care about the viral, I'll need a crazy good trailer to get me back interested at all.

And Anne Hathaway is really suprising because it seems like shes just this week's "it" girl, and I didn't think Nolan made choices like that.

Is any of this actually confirmed?

The real problem is Catwoman and Bane both seem an awful lot like backround or secondary villains compared to the Joker. And lets face it, some of us and the entire casual fan public are expecting them to top Heath. I mean catwomans practically a good guy, your telling me they wrote a Bane story that stacks up to the Joker? I just don't know.

I like the casting. Hathaway certainly has the look -- even moreso than Pfeiffer did. I don't know much about Bane aside from "Batman & Robin" ... but Hardy's a good actor, and I am confident the part will be better than the unintelligible 'roided buffoon in B&R.

It's like hell has opened up to kick me in the nards today with this news. sniff.

It's not like I won't see the move, but Bane is soooo boring of a character, and Anne Hathaway for me is like casting Sarah Jessica Parker or Sandra Bernhardt in the role.

Very uninteresting choices. I hope the rumored Hugo Strange is still in the movie somewhere. My interest in this is very low.

Man, I really hope "The Wrestler" theories are wrong.

If hes just a washed up Wrestler who trys to take down Batman for the city to prove he's still worth something it's going to be kinda meh.

I mean

Ras Al Ghul - Pretty much Created Batman / Almost destroyed all of Gotham
Joker - Causes Batman to question his existance / Almost destroyed alot of Gotham
Bane - Will need to cement in Bruce's mind he needs to be Batman forever and do a considerable amount of damage

The ‘Inception’ filmmaker also confirmed Tom Hardy would be starring as Bane – a chemically-altered super villain with a high intellect who was born and grew up in prison – who has previously appeared in the much derided film ‘Batman & Robin’

I'm fine with this. I really don't care for or about Hardy or Hathaway but then again before pics, teasers and trailers I thought Ledger was a horrible choice for the Joker. The only film I thought he was good in was the Patriot and I was puzzled why they chose him.

Now, a thousand TDK Joker memorabilia items and figures later, here I am, eating my own words.

I'm going to think positively on this one. Other than maybe the title, there hasn't been a single thing that I've disliked about this project so far.

There's so many places to go with Bane. You can have him break Arkham prisoners out (set Scarecrow up again) to weaken Batman, like the comics. You could also throw a nod at the end that the Joker escaped because of this so the audience still feels his presence.

It should be good. I'm looking forward to images of the new Bat-suit. The suit or the a new vehicle (improved Batmobile?) will probably be the next big announcement/pics.

Hathaway has been announced as Selina Kyle, but no mention of Catwoman, so you never know if Nolan is going to leave out her alter-ego.
Bane would not have been in my top 5 picks, but I'm willing to keep an open mind and see what is planed

Just watch BB the other week, I have little doubt the "New Batmobile" will simply be the other Tumbler.

I thought Hathaway could make for a decent quinn.

Bane is in this movie? Gettin them chills...I hope he actually speaks and has some form of intellect in this version. In other words, they keep it close to the comic.
