Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Yeah, great points about an organization knowing about Batman/Bruce Wayne.

I like where it's at now. Alfred and Fox are the only ones in the know (now that Rachel is dead_. Gordon may know but doesn't wish to acknowledge it since he is an ally of Batman anyway. If you keep throwing more and more at it, it's going to get bogged down.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Ypou guys all have some great points. This does not sound that good.

Plus there is one thing that seemed off to me while I was reading the thing, and now I think I know what it is. Where does Gotham fit into all of this?

Begins was just as much about stopping the curruption in Gotham as it was the League of Shadow's stuff. The only reason that they were able to make thier move on Gotham was becuase of how widespread the mob and currupt police force was. And the Dark Knight was entirely about Gotham's political system.

In this, Gotham seems to just be a silent victim. It could be any city under attack from the League of Shadows.

Plus I have a huge problem with the whole Talia Al Ghul thing. She just seems like a recepie for one huge cliche. Why would a powerful and multinational organization like the League let what im assuming will be some 21 year old girl with little experience be thier leader simply because her estraned father used to be in charge?

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

aren't they saying Marion Cottilard will be Talia? She'd be believable as the leader.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Writing the film off before it's even started?! Lol Trust in Nolan. That guy hits gold everytime at the mo

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Y'know ... I was watching Batman: Under the Red Hood last night, and I wouldn't mind a Bane that looks a bit like Red Hood -- and the "Red Hood/Bane vs. Black Mask" angle wouldn't be too bad, either.

Lol you guys

Agree with Wanderer, and we don't even know if that synopsis is true, and even if it is, you can bet your life there'll be a lot more to the story than what you read there

Cyber Deadpool is AWESOME. :lecture

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

You said the same thing about Heath Ledger 3 years ago.

:D

Wait, you think I asked "Did Nolan even say he was going to be the Joker and not just – (Does he even have a name)" 3 years ago? That makes no sense.

It was a simple question bud.
And I actually had no problem with him. Didn't even care really.

Yeah I see you flexing that ledger Joker fanboy muscle. :cuckoo:

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I made a teaser poster yesterday :)

Then why bother having it be Bane? Make it Red Hood instead. :dunno

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Sounds pretty cool to me. :dunno

HEres why its not good news to me, it does sound like there will be some rehash but more importantly, an entire organisation knows Wayne is Batman. Why not simply expose him if you want to break him. It's sort of stupid since the police are already after him. Instead he'll inevitably defeat an army of ninjas again and some supervillains who all know who he is and could simply say to the police, "Check out Bruce Wayne hes Batman."

Oh and now were not going to see cool scenes in a Batcave under Wayne Manor because it would be too dangerous no? LOS already burned his house down once... Wayne is going to come off like Charlie Sheen if he has to pretend he burned it down drunk again.

Hmm, didn't think of that...

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Yea, I've always thought Baker looked like a older Ledger. He is a good actor.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Way off topic, but like the Joker pic, this seems to be the most logical place for it.

I was driving home from my mom's the other day and the main road leading out to her house has a new road sign. I didn't get a good look at it. I think it was named after or dedicated to Dr. Tommy Eliot. :lol

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Because the Red Hood backstory doesn't fit.

Red Hood has two backstories (Joker as Red Hood falling in the chemical bath, and the death of Robin/ Jason Todd) -- neither of which have any part in the Nolan stories. Joker didn't start as Red Hood, and didn't fall in a chemical pit ... and there is no Robin, much less a Robin death at the hands of the Joker.

Bane's backstory works better. But, Red Hood's general "realistic" look and interplay with the mob would seem to fit with Nolan, though ... as opposed to previous versions of Bane. I could see Hardy playing a similar character -- though certainly less acrobatic than the animated version of Red Hood.

I agree, no Red Hood without Robin. Some characters can be changed and tweaked, but the entire point of Red Hood is who he is.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Talking to E! Online, Gary Oldman has reiterated statements he has made earlier this week and added to them in a way that is sure to get the fanbase all riled up again.... probably in a very Strange way....

"I think it's a villain from one of the old, old, from way back from the old comics. It is a Batman villian...t's not going to be The Joker. If I told you who the villain was, they'd kill me!" I know the story...I just think it's going to be terrific."
