Re: The Dark Knight Rises

With all these bits and pcs we'll have a fan edit version of the movie before it comes out. I'm trying to stay away from seeing all these spoilers and they keep coming out. This looks like the most leaked footage of the year or in a long time. I don't remember seeing anything or even a glimpse of the Joker when they worked on TDK

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Since Joker wasn't dead at end of TDK, he will definately be metioned at minimum in the new movie, I just wonder if they will reuse footage of Heath, or gasp....show a new version of him :horror

Or they don't show him at all and instead just show a playing card and someone just mentions his motives, destruction and jailing.

I'm having a hard time believing that it will all just be full circle to LOS and Ras plus introduction of Bale/Catwoman w/o any mention or footage of Joker/Dent.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Unfortunately Rises probably won't be as big a draw financially as TDK was unless something extremely drastic takes place within the movie (or out) to really cause a stir in the community. I know TDK received a lot of extra publicity because of the unfortunate death of Heath Ledger but his performance as the Joker is unparallelled at this point. In 89's Batman when Nicholson was the Joker it was the same thing then and a box office smash. In my opinion even though Batman has the best rogues gallery of any hero it just a no brainer - Batman against the Joker equals big box office. They're just the most fun to watch!

You're right. You can't top The Dark Knight, and there's essentially three factors that go in to why. One, The Dark Knight featured the Joker, Batman's arch nemesis and easily most famous villain. The Joker's the most famous villain in ALL of comics, not just Batman, the only villain to match Batman's own popularity. You can't TOP the Joker as a villain, at all. Which is probably partially why there's so many "main" villains in this upcoming film. They're trying to fill the void left by the number one villain. Secondly, Heath Ledger's performance was incomparable. He was absolutely brilliant, and it would be impossible to have a more extraordinary performance then the one he gave. He simply CREATED the Joker. When you were watching the film, you didn't feel like you were watching an actor portray the Joker, you felt like you were actually WATCHING the Joker. Like a camera just happened to be following the Joker around and recording him. You forget while you're watching that film that the Joker is a fictional character, and you think during that time, the Joker is actually REAL. And thirdly, the tragedy of Heath Ledger's passing obviously gave the film even more hype and anticipation, on top of what was already huge hype and anticipation. It's just impossible to top it, and I think it would be foolish for anyone to expect it to or for the film makers to even try.

you are right but I stand by what a always said and that is, if any comic movie were to ever beat tdk it would be tdkr.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Anyone else think Banes costume is lame?
I find it very uninteresting to look at, and worse it makes Hardy look dull as well, and I think he is excellent.:dunno

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

What did you expect? Looks fine to me. And we're seeing it thoroughly out of context. Set pics =/= final film look.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

WHY do people HAVE to capitalize every OTHER word to EMPHASIZE their point? I just DON'T see the NEED. I wonder if they SHOUT when they are TALKING also?

:duh

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

TDK is God. It created the universe. It will end the universe. It is life, it is death, it is time, and it is space. All things will return to it, as Kedger's performance was the fount of creativity from which all things came. There is no thing greater.

:lol :duh :lol

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

NOT enough CAPITALIZATION, therefore YOUR post is IRRELEVANT.

An extra. I love how they are aimed at a camera and Hardy is off somewhere else. I wonder if that tattoo will be written into the film, I can't make it out...if so I can see the next group of Batfanboys running to their local ink parlors...
