Re: The Dark Knight Rises

When this preview was announced, it felt like it was so damn far away that it would never happen.

Here was are, today is the day :yess:

I'm taking more smart phones than I can hold, I don't care which one gets confiscated :lol

I'll just say that I was receiving an emergency text from void so that's why I was holding phone up facing the screen :lol

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I finally heard Bane's voice in the leaked audio. I think he sounds great. Quite bizarre and very menacing.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Just got back from seeing the Prologue. I was the 10th in line, got great seats and two free t-shirts.

One says "LEGEND" and has some kind of ambiguous Bat logo on it and the other says "END" and has Bane's teeth.

I'll post the description in my next post. It wasn't no TDK Joker Bank Heist but it got me pumped for the film. What a ____ing tease.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Okay, so first, the experience.

I expected it to be crazy, it wasn't. It was a pleasant experience. You walked in, the Warner Bros staff took your pass and looked at your ID (my drivers license). You then went up to their booth and you could only choose either the "LEGEND" shirt or "END" shirt, they were offered in large and XL. I got both versions in large because I asked for the alternate shirt that I didn't have since they had a box or two left over after the screening.

The crowd was fine. I heard some nerdy ____ but nothing that hasn't been discussed on various boards. Thankfully, nobody was obnoxious.

It took awhile for everyone to get situated but the turn out was pretty good. I got the best seats in the house as it started to fill in.

So onto the description,

(I'll throw spoilers in here for those that don't want to read it)

- Film opens up with cracking ice that forms into the bat logo (think the bats in Begins and the blue flame bat from TDK).

- During this is a narrative of Gordon at the end of TDK with new dialogue. It then shows the scene with him speaking at Harvey Dent's funeral. Gordon says something like how he believed in Harvey Dent, blah, blah, blah. It didn't look new, it actually seemed like it was deleted scene from TDK that they used here.

- Then it pans up to a dizzying shot of a hayfield with a jeep driving. The jeep has some masked prisoners in the back seat.

- They meet with this CIA agent and his men, ready to get on a plane. They've got the prisoners and that Dr. Pavel from the latest viral with them.

- They're on board of the plane. The CIA agent wants to know where Bane is and wants to know more about them. He threatens the masked/blind folded prisoners by opening that door of the air craft and telling them he'll throw them out. He fires shots off but doesn't throw them out of the plane.

- You then hear Bane, he calls out the CIA agent's bluff about not throwing the prisoners out of the plane. The CIA agent goes to him, takes off his mask. Some dialogue chit chat about Bane's mask.

- Bane tells him that his plan was for him and his men to get caught . . . and to crash the CIA plane with no survivors

- Bane chant theme starts.

- Another, larger plane comes in.

- They take hold of the CIA plane, shooting and quick fighting ensues. Shooting out windows, smaller plane flip, etc.

- A dead man is brought in, they take blood from a screaming Pavel in transfuse it into the dead man's body.

- Bane then has this sky hook for him, Pavel, and a few of his men to get on board the larger plane.

- One of Bane's followers goes to get on the sky lift but Bane tells him he has to stay behind. The follower does. "The fire rises".

- The scene ends with the small plane nose diving towards the ground and Bane and a screaming Dr. Pavel shooting up the sky hook to the larger plane.

- A few quick shots of Batman with his insect light gun, Catwoman walking outside a prison cell, the cop vs. mercs fight in the street, JGL (John Blake) walking into a vault of some kind, Bane walking out of a pillared court house with his men (same place where Gordon was), and a final shot of Bane detonating something and walking out with Batman's smashed cowl in his hands which he throws towards the screen.

Ends with a new, cracked Bat logo.
