Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Bane doesn't sound like a brit to me. In fact, it's hard to describe what dialect he even has. It's funny how he sounds different to so many people.

To me, he sounds like Sean Connery using a General Grievous/Darth Vader synthesizer. I happen to love the voice, but I won't deny that it's absurd. Some of his deliveries make me lol like, "the FIRA RISEZ". The delivery is just so quick and odd. It fits though, from what I've seen. I wouldn't change it and I'm looking forward to hearing what he says to Batman.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I might've seen the porn version though, does that count.

As shocking as this might be to some of you I had no clue there was a porn version of The Princess Bride.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I hated General Grievous. I get that vibe in the bootleg but don't hate it. I still say he sounds like an Eastern Europeaner.

Sean Connery talksh with an "SH" shound for every "sh" word he shaysh, sho you know it'sh a very recognishable Shcottish ashccent. Look up Jeremy Irons. :wink1:

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

seeing Bane and Batman about to fight literally gave me goosebumps,
Im going to sound like a nerd but, I don't think I've ever been anticipating a movie this much, like, ever. not even Jurassic Park and that what the most anticipation I've ever had since I was little. (maybe the Matrix but, not even)
wow...:yess:

:exactly: I definitely hear some Jeremy Irons in there, and the occasional Shhhean Connery SHHH sounds. But overall i still say he just sounds very English. A very well spoken English too. Haha.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

After watching the Prologue, i've got some revised views about how the story will pan out

- The opening with Gordon is clearly right after Dent's death, and Gordon says 'It will be a long time before anyone can inspire us like Harvey...' I think the purpose of this is to serve not only as a link to TDK, but as a bookend to the film, giving a clue about the end. I think in the end Gotham will finally have Batman inspire them, I don't think Batman will die, but again, still think it is possible.
- I think the plane sequence fast forwards 8 yrs later
- I think based on what Nolan keeps saying about Bruce being 'frozen in time', I think for those 8 yrs, Batman has been on the run, but active - just out of the public eye, Bruce has been grieving the whole time and doesn't know what to do to get out of his vicious cycle etc.
- I think those 8 yrs have completely exhausted Bruce and Batman, mentally and physically, leaving him completely vulnerable for Bane
- Bane arrives in Gotham and within the first Act, Batman is taken down. I think the shot of the mercs going down the well is them going into the Batcave. And the shot from the teaser trailer of Bane climbing the well is after he has broken Batman - that shot in the teaser trailer coincides with Gordan saying 'now this evil rises'. That would make sense in this theory as this is the point Batman is defeated and the evil begins to rise.
- Another reason I think that well is to the batcave is because in Begins bruce as the boy falls in there leading to the whole 'why do we fall bruce'.. now Batman has to Rise... he has to learn to pick himself up
- I think Act 2 involves Batman being out of action/recovering/Catwoman roaming gotham in some unknown capacity and Blake shown as one of the few good cops on the force.
- Bane in the meantime manages a defacto takeover of gotham, recruiting gothamites to his side and revealing the truth about Dent. But he has a master plan to destroy gotham - something to do with this earthquake device.
- Act 3 of course Batman returns, in the BAT vehicle.. Act 3 could well be a further few yrs down the line.. as it would take Bruce some time to recover from his injuries
- Batman confronts Bane on the steps of city hall, which Bane is possibly using as his base, symbolizing his takeover - further symbolized by the fact that this is the same location Gordon had made his speech all those years ago about Harvey Dent having inspired Gotham
- Bane is eventually defeated, Batman possibly dies, possibly retires, but I think probably finds out this is it, Batman is his life, he is the hero gotham deserves and needs, and there will never be a day gotham will no longer need batman.

OR

I could be completely wrong about everything :lol :rotfl :lol

I think he sounds like a well educated (British school) eastern European
The end but where he says 'you have nothing to fear.. That will come later' is very Russian sounding as well
