Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Reboot!

This design makes him look alot more like a villian

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Pretty much the opposite of what I would think most people envision for Batman. Unlikely they will go with such a small niche version of such a widely popular and well known character and cut their audience down to size.

Give me a Year One or Alex Ross suit next pls. Or something like AC, still practical but classic looking comic Batman as well, enough with the heavily armored "hockey pads" look for a while, we've had that going since Burton.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I was thinking, that would be for Batman beyond, I kinda wish they did that because they wouldn't need to restart batman all over again, but have Bruce wayne old, teaching a younger guy to be batman, It could even follow the Nolan bat movies, with no Bale, Im not saying it would be as good as Nolan's movies, but, it would be cool,

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I'm with you Deckard. I'd rather some familiar styled Batman compared to this new "reboot" Batman/demonic villian....whatever...look. :dunno

Yeah, I'm "old school" and "traditional" and not ashamed to say it. :wave

I hope the next series of movies gives us a Batman with his traditional outfit. Instead of spandex they can play it off like some type of kevlar chainmail mesh. Looks way better than the over stylized outfit The Dark Knight/Rises uses.

It would be cool if they could somehow translate a traditional type of suit into film. The only difficult thing about that is, they would have to make a more stylized world, kinda like Snyder did with watchmen, in order for the suit to make sense. If they didn't it would look like a man running around in a onsie with a cape on. :lol

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

He looked good in Batman Dead End

But armor will always be needed or he would be dead in seconds.

Swat teams don't do raids in pajamas for a good reason. :lol

I think Nolan got it right, i'm not sick of it. :dunno

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

This is the best representation of Batman, in a traditional suit during film. (short film). It's because the mood/lighting/design of it all works together.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Ive always thought that was a pretty cool short film, but then the Carnival scenes just ruin it for me.

Yeah, the carnival scene is definitely the weakest part. If you like this one go look up Patient J By the same guys (bat in the sun). It's in 4 parts on YouTube. It's really cool and has great acting. The only bad part about that one is a brief scene with robin :lol

:lectureWill do.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

BAt in the Sun was around before Nolan and upto that point was some great stuff, but I never liked that guy playing the Joker, his voice isn't right and overall he just looks way too young, I always get the lame fanboy vibe playing dress up with him. Batman looks awesome there though and is pretty much exactly what I want in future films.

Exactly, you look at AA and AC, and the way they made it a kevlar type material with the seems running down it, rather then spandex, it looks practical and way cooler then any Nolan suit.
