Re: The Dark Knight Rises

This is the stupidity mindset. :lol

Movie-wise: To set the record straight (which I've done repeatedly, but the trolls just never paid attention), BB is to date, my favorite Batman movie. TDK batsuit is my favorite screen costume. Tactically, it makes perfect sense for Batman. 89 Batman is the best looking batsuit as far as embodying the very essence of "Batman." If there was a costume that was gonna strike fear into the heart of criminals, Burton's suit epitomizes that (just a shame Keaton's a Hobbit).

And no, I still don't like you. :nono

Wow, I agree with everything you say there. :hi5:

I don't like you either though.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

It's funny how we don't really know what Bane's deal is yet, but people have already written him off as "boring".

I only think he's boring from what they've shown so far. I don't remember ever yawning at Pre TDK release Joker stuff. His promotional images and clips from trailers were far more interesting and got me more pumped to see how psycho he was gonna be.

I hope Bane looks more interesting in the next trailer. I haven't written him off yet, but as of now he's just not making me the least bit excited.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

After watching Batman Begins last night I hope this matches it. On repeat viewings, TDK's lost a bit of it's appeal (unlike BB) so, fingers crossed.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Yeah, Begins is the best batman film but TDK is not far behind for me.

I think I over watched TDK just a bit :lol

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Batman: The Movie is the best Batman film ever. At least in 1966 they could juggle most of Batman's Rogues Gallery AND Robin without the film falling flat on it's face. And there is no question of it's accuracy to the source material. Most faithful Batman film yet. Costume design, characters, direction, it's all there.

As far as the best non-comic interpretation goes, Batman: The Animated Series kills it. The creators such as Bruce Timm, Dini, Radomski and Burnett are the only ones that truly understood the character.

Not that freakshow, Burton or that tight ass, Nolan. Their "visions" are just watered down versions of the character because they never embraced Batman. He's way too silly to fit in their macabre or "reelistek" worlds. They wrote around things to fit their overrated styles and were only brought in because Warner Bros. sensed PROFIT$.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Adam West Batman is actually the most serious Batman. That's not even a stretch.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

There is some serious dancing on that show.

I have to give kudos (completely unwanted, I know) to a lot of you Nolan Batfans who actually have a sense of humor about it. A couple of years ago it was like a TDK suicide cult on this board. Well done. :duff

:lecture:lecture:lecture I'm with Diflabio as far as faithfulness to the comic. It's there, 1000%. Unfortunately, it also shows that while it works as a campy cult classic, that specific comic version of Batman can't really work on a more realistic scale.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I was kidding. Also you spelled my name wrong, ______.

Screw West, screw Keaton, screw Bale. I'd make the best and most faithful Batman. Maybe not as good as Alex Logan as far as Mr. Furley's Karate training is concerned, but pretty damn close.

I don't think I'd look very good in an Adam West suit though. My prenus isn't big enough and I might have to use socks to fill out the overall package. I'm also a little afraid of heights. I also get broners pretty easily if standing next to scantly clad wimmins, like Cratwimmin and Poison vagoo.

Other than that, I'd be just fine. I can just see Hot Toys making DiFabio Batman figures of me one day.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I'm pretty sure The Animated Series and the Mask of Phantasm on DVD is the highest quality anyone's ever going to get. How could you possibly improve an animated/cartoon feature?

That huge DVD set with all the seasons is practically the ultimate edition.
