Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Always MOAR, MOAR, MOAR. I'm sick of everyone's pursuit of trying to have the best thing possible. Nothing is ever enough.

I think you've forgotten for a moment you're on a website with people who spend 200 dollars on dollies because they're "the best".

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Hell, I don't even care about season sets, if WB could just mark the occasion with the complete series on Blu (sort of like what DiFabio posted, but on 'roids):lol, I'd be a happy camper. I 100 percent agree, however, with DiFabio's sentiment that we need more TAS merch. I could definitely get behind some high end 20th anniversary 1/6th figures from SSC or HT.

BTAS doesn't need a Blu Ray release, it needs more collectibles. :lecture

I finished getting every single Kenner release (figures/vehicles/playsets etc.) from 1992-1994 so I'm itching for more Animated Batman merchandise. High end stuff would be preferable (____ Mattel). I have all the maquettes and statues but it would be nice seeing something totally new.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

No it's not. Void has 1,255 and Jye has 1,153. I haven't even hit the 1,000 mark. For some reason if folks see this bumped to the second page they have this compulsion to bump it back up. That ain't me.

I actually haven't been in here posting junk for awhile.

If I seem tense, it's because I've gotten very little sleep and am anxious to get home and open my 1/4 Arnold doll. I bet on the way home I get slammed by a truck.

You've been counting! :horror

But how would a Blu-Ray release take away from any merchandise? Last time I checked, the people in charge of Blu-Ray transfers weren't the same folks sculpting figures.

I have that BTAS boxset. The picture is already pushing it being transferred into widescreen dvd. It will look WORSE on blu.

Agree with Difab's, I want some BTAS merch as well.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Why does it need a Blu Ray release? Do you not have the DVD sets?

Absolutely. And I have the more recent stuff on Blu. And when I compare them it's kind of painful.

I didn't think a new transfer of TNG would make a difference, esp. considering everyone talked about it being shot on tape and yada yada. But there's no doubt a bit of care in re-tranfering and making new masters makes superior pic and sound from the older DVDs.

Anyway. I'd buy it. Just my opinion.

Why so serious?

Damn I feel dirty :(

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I bought all of the season sets day 1, but then I let a buddy of mine who had just opened a comic shop borrow them for the aforementioned comic shop. Suffice it to say, the S.O.B. can't find them and says that I" should've put my name on them." He's been BSing me and telling me he'll look for them for the past year, and the only reasons I'm not too confrontational about it are: 1.) he's still a friend of mine 2.) His shop is close to my house and I don't feel like driving across town for my books, and 3.) I've been holding out for a BD transfer before I tell him to hand 'em over or pay up.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

They are not gonna put them out on BR. They will look worse.

Mask of the Phantasm, however can have a BR transfer.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I think animation is one of the biggest draws that Blu has, for me at least. It's just so much cleaner and more vivid. I just don't get why WB would release the first 2 seasons of Justice League on Blu, yet they won't give us nice HD transfers of what is both the definitive Batman show and the greatest cartoon of all time. The only reason I'm holding out hope is because I believe this marks the 20th anniversary of either TAS or MotP.

Bluray can also make older animation look like complete crap.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Can we get back to the movie...?

I have some Bane questions for the experts:

What is this get-up? The diabolical Dr. Bane?

Why is he doing this? Is there a Prince song I don't know about?

Is there a smaller Bane that the movie starts with? Like a Baby-Bane? He looks tiny here.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

1. Teller outfit. I guess, "disguise?" :lol
2. Gotham "rally together" speech
3. Unfortunate stair case placement. :lol
