Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I'm 5 "7 and for a long time didn't weigh more than 110... after getting married it's gone up to 125 over a couple of years, but still probably 10 pounds or so less than average for my height, but i've never really been too bothered by it

Good to hear your no longer bothered by it either :wave

:wave:hi5::duff

I think it was the combination of being both skinny and short in addition to the cruelty of people around me at the time. I should also mention that I am 5'8" with shoes on, so barefoot I'm likely closer to 5'7" myself. My height still affects me sometimes, but only when meeting women is concerned. Women can be brutal about their expectations of a man's qualities. Yet, whenever I have been in a committed relationship, I no longer care. She's already involved with me, she is okay with my height and weight, and all is well. For this reason I look forward to marriage. Whenever my relationships have ended, I'm back to standing on my tiptoes when I introduce myself to an attractive woman. :lol

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

:lol

That also uses a manipulated photo of Batman on top of the squad car from TDK. Look at the knee and especially the torso. All twisted and messed up. I wonder what is it about those police car pictures that provoke these designers to constantly use them?

:lol

Yeah but at least the rest of it is mostly new or at least new looking :slap

We need new posters. With some NEW images and designs

Lose the tiptoes, women love confidence :hi5:

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Indeed. His Trilogy concept:

I wish this were official. I would frame that.

"A Fire will Rise" poster looks like a fan hoax.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Hahahaha, I saw you signed the petition for a better poster Void. Why? :lol

Did you see some of the responses on there from Christian Bale, Christopher Nolan, Thor and Tony Stark? They didn't seem too pleased with the poster either.

Why not! :lol

It's not the poster we deserve, nor need right now :gah:

I didn't see those responses... must check it out :lol

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Go to "about this Petition".

The Thor ones are the best.

"WITH MEIN MIGHTY HAMMER I SMOTE THEE INTO RUIN FOULEST AND GAYEST BAT CREATURE!"

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Same here. I'm about 5'8" and my average weight has been at or below 120 pounds throughout my early twenties, dropping to as low as 105 when I have been sick a few times. People in my life (including ex girlfriends) have made fun of and attacked me for this frequently. I used to let it affect me. I would buy and wear clothing that was too big for me in some desperate attempt to feel more normal about myself and to fit in. I would try stuffing my face to gain weight, with the only result being stomach aches. Then one day I realized I just needed to make the most of it and embrace who and what I am. Now I wear small men's sizes that cling to my slender frame, and I no longer look like a little kid masquerading around in his father's wardrobe. :p

see I will never understand women, they complain men see them as objects or just for sex, but they can be as shallow, plus if you don't have a lot of money they wont even look your way, you might as well be like a homeless guy if you dont own a car lol
I used to be thin and I recently gained weight, mostly on my face and my torso, my cheeks got chubby, my arms and legs stayed small, I been trying to work out but it doesnt seem to go, I see skinny guys and I feel jealous, I was thin before but never stick thin, I always wanted to be like that, really thin,
what you said about the clothes, is similar with me now, I try to cover up my torso with shirt and sometimes a vest,

See, I don't know. The extremes go both ways. Some of the hottest, and smartest women I've known also wind up married to some fat, drunk, abusive ____ whose greatest accomplishment in life was moving from the Streamline, to a double-wide, closer to the pool in the trailer park. And the worst thing is, despite a black eye, broken nose and a lip that required 3 stitches to close, they justify staying with them. :cuckoo:

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Do you have a URL for a hi-res version?

I've asked the creator of the poster for the highest res he has, will post it here once I get it :wave

Here's an older one he made - similar concept to the latest lame WB one, but miles better IMO:

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Better, but the angle is still off. That's probably the biggest mistake in most graphic design pieces. Things get thrown together with no thought or care about angles and how things line up.
