There was a rumor about a 4 hour cut too from a guy tweeting about the rough cut a while ago. All these tweets, but no proof. I'd almost be willing to bet it's only around 2.5 hours long. But like I said, if it's longer and a great film, I won't complain :D

I'm a bit surprised by the phoned in marketing on this movie, BB and TDK featured some really cool and imaginative marketing images but these feel like something anyone with a little PS savvy could come up with from shots on the net.

Yeah Im on the TDKR facebook fan page where everyone is screaming THREE HOURS PLUS???? YESSS like that's the mark of a good film. I'm not sure if it actually HAS been confirmed but apparently the guy that tweeted it took it down but it suggests this was a recent cut of the film.

Well, this one was pretty bad.

They just shopped Lau out.

But I have to agree with you, in 2008 it was much better.

I actually loved that one from TDK

It's still my PS3 background :lol

The posters were definitely much cooler for TDK agreed, but I do love these latest banners

I think TDK could've used an extra 30 minutes to thin out some of the convoluted plot elements. :huh

I agree, but I think it's cause Joker and Two Face are just visually more stunning/iconic than Bane and a Julie Newmar version of Catwoman.

Really? I kind of think TDK tends to drag a bit, especially on repeat viewings. As soon as Rachel is killed (whoops spoilers) then it reaches this long section where it could have been over but wait there's more and it doesn't improve until the climax with the Pruitt building. The entire hospital/nurse joker bit could have been cut or written around imo.

Well, the problem is there's so much going on, a lot of it feels forced and too busy and what doesn't, feels dragged out. It's also one of the reasons why to many, the movie feels more like a Joker movie than a Dent or even Batman movie. The rise and fall of Harvey Dent got lost in the flurry.

Nolan films for me:

TDK>Inception>BB>Prestige>Memento>Insomnia

I haven't seen Following yet, but now that it's on Netflix instant I'm gonna give it a go.

Screw Nolan films. I liked Prestige but this isn't a Nolan thread, it's a Batman film thread. If Nolan didn't direct Batman Begins, I wouldn't even give a ____. I bet that applies for many people here as well.

Batman > Christopher Nolan films

I was too young to remember but did people do this with Burton after Batman? "OH BURTON I LUV YO MOVIES DAWG, NICE PORTFOLIO, GREAT WORK!"

Errr, Burton nuts still do. Hence the BO results for all his ____ty films. Burton does have a big portfolio, and most of the films are rather good.

Those goobers would applaud and say the same things if a 7 hour cut was announced. They're just myopic, frothing fanboys. And to those types, more is more.

There's so many people now who identify themselves as 'NOLAN FANS' and nolanites and stuff like that. Truthfully I'm sure that 99% of those people never even knew who he was before TDK. Now you see people saying MEMENTO. PRESTIGE. TDK. TDKR. FULL CIRCLE. Like it's all part of the same series or something. I wonder if he would have even done TDKR if they hadn't waved billions in his face

Yeah it's true. They don't realize that the mark of a well paced film is the ability to tell a story within certain time constraints. You're not watching real life. You don't sit in a theater for three weeks. Movies should still have limitations. There are some fanboys who are planning on seeing it 24 hours straight through the first day it comes out only taking potty breaks.
