Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Ah, that's right, I forgot about that. There's also the question of how he ended up in that prison camp or whatever it was.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

He ended up in the prison because he was caught stealing (Wayne Ent.) merchandise.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Oh yeah, that's right, they showed the flashback of what I'm guessing was him infiltrating a smuggling ring to take them down or something. Clearly I need to rewatch the movie...

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I would ____ an Egyptian pyramid worth of bricks if Sandra Woosan showed up in the last film. There is no place for her and it will never happen, but I would flip over even a nod to the character.

Does anyone know how developed she was before the Knightfall arc? I know she turned up in Death in the Family, but I'm curious how much more there was to the character. I missed 80's DC completely.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

As he's done in the past, Christopher Nolan is planning an international scope for the upcoming production of The Dark Knight Rises. The LA Times' Hero Complex has revealed the director's travel plans through their Twitter feed:

"Chris Nolan is under the weather and scouting locations in Asia for 'DK Rises'," the feed states, "but excited about Globes noms."

This morning's Golden Globe Nominations revealed Nolan's Inception as a candidate in four categories, including Best Motion Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Original Score.

A finalized draft for the film was allegedly just delivered to the studio with a shoot planned to begin in May of 2011, targeting a July 20, 2012 release.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

THe HK scene is one of my favourite parts of TDK, beautiful cinematography, it's about time Wally Pfister / Nolan got recognized by the Oscars

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Just because Nolan's looking abroad doesn't mean it's a significant sign of the characters. Who's Lau in the big picture, yet a whole other locale was in TDK for his sake.

True of course.

I was merely throwing it out there that it could hint at her appearance.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I think it'd be cool if Batman actually operated in other areas instead of just a snatch and grab like Lau. One thing I find funny with Superman and Batman, and I don't read comics so it may not be totally true, but the idea that these guys are major heroes, yet they only protect one city in the whole world, big freakin' whoop :lol I think it'd be cool if Nolan expanded Batman to be a hero to the world, focused in Gotham, but fighting great evil wherever it be.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I think they've managed to save the world once or twice in the comics, but it would be cool to see something that large scale in a film. That's the biggest reason why I'd want to see a JLA movie. The downside is that it would either have to be fairly long (think King Kong or and of the LOTR's), or the filmmaker would have to be insanely talented to do it well, and with concision.

You should start, because the latest Batman storyline addresses this precisely.
