Why not? Why does every Hero flick need to be a short action movie? Cant it be long with character development, and something else other then explosions? Like TDK.

You are kinda slow.. Let me break it down for you.

The Titanic reference was to show that the movie would not end and did not whatsoever maintain any interest. Like a poster stated previously, factually the movie was only minutes longer than Iron Man and TDK. But why is it that Watchmen felt like I was being held down and tortured for a lengthy period of time? Oh right, I already hit on this. BECAUSE IT SUCKED.

It's my opinion, one in which you don't share and that's perfectly fine. Judging by oh I don't know.. box office records, and even this poll, you are in the minority.

lol...I've said the same about music/billboard chart, but it pretty much comes down to your personal view/opinion. For me TDK was everything I have always wanted in a Bat flick. Plus no matter how many points I try to make, I will always be biased when it comes to Joker (my fav comic book character of all time).

I work as a projectionist part time now at a movie theater and the manager and i caught Watchmen one more time before it left. I enjoyed it a lot the first time and even more the second. I wish this movie would have done better but nobody has attention spans these days. My list for this poll is:
1. TDK (right up there with ANH and ESB as favorite films of all time)
2. Watchmen: Snyder nailed it. A few questionable choices but I give it a pass as I can't believe how faithful it ended up being.
3. Iron Man: Fun movie with a great cast that ultimately gets bogged down by a weak ending.

Watchmen - Though dumbs down the spectacular GN a little, does a very good job and is very impressive plus a great cast of good actors with no big names.

The Dark Knight - Finest Bats movie ever until they get around to a movie adaptation of Hush

Iron Man - Brainless actioner with some occasionally iffy cg and a truly rubbish final battle.

That I totally agree with.

Having said that though its tough cause I think Batman and Iron Man are just awesome movies and rank high on my list. I need to see The Watchman when it comes out on BR. Never got a chance to go see it but it will have to be quite good to match those other two.
