Heh. This may be my favorite review of any movie ever written:

https://www.bleedingcool.com/2012/08/12/the-expendables-2-the-bleeding-cool-review/

Mild spoilers ... though I'm not sure there's all that much to spoil. Couple of great pullquotes ...

"Anyone who shells out for a ticket expecting Citizen Kane is some kind of fool but if you’re in the market for about an hour and a half of untrammelled macho bull**** and a bunch of stuff blowing up, The Expendables 2 is for you."

"In the first 30 seconds, there’s enough gun porn in The Expendables 2 to last the average Call Of Duty fanatic a lifetime."

"Every scene culminates in some sort of fight. Every single shot, in fact, has a fight in it. Sometimes the fights are interrupted so that another fight can take place in the middle. Then it’s back to the fighting."

"Make no mistake; The Expendables 2 is a terrible film. With careless plotting, a lazy reliance on cliché and one of the worst sound mixes of any mainstream release in history it’s a slap in the face to the Cahiers du Cinema set. But if you’re willing to overlook all that, it’s kind of OK."

Haha. Classic. Sounds perfect.

:goodpost::clap Snobby critics will HATE this movie and that makes it awesome:rock

I mean, having the actual Predator could work. But the thing is, it would have to be done with more care then these movies are used too.

Because regardless, it's still a Predator movie. And it needs good characters, good action, and respect to the monster.

So, I don't know.

But you'd have to acknowledge that Dutch himself isn't Dutch himself (or is he?) and that could just make things awkward.

It could make sense if he was hunted by the government for his secrets. Maybe escaped the mental institute, or so goes the story.

But i'd rather not see that. Nor is it possible, due to Fox owning the license, and not Lionsgate, Millennium.

I mean they could get it work like that if they really try. Could be interesting if done well, but I think the legal stuff in getting that too work is more trouble than they'd be wanting to go through. I mean we can't even get Marvel to team up with Fox or Sony to share their own characters :lol

Here is the official challenge vid Freaks! Watch and take the Ex2 challenge if you are man enough lmao!

Almost done, what I've watched since last week:

Cobra
Universal Soldier (Counted this for both Dolph and JCVD because its twice as awesome as most movies)
Transporter (also watched Snatch)
Die Hard With a Vengeance (I like this one, so sue me)
Total Recall
Fearless
Way of the Dragon
Bridesmaids (Does this count? Its the only one my wife wanted to watch)
Thor (Chris should've been in this instead)

Just need something that counts for Randy Couture.

3 more days!!!

Just need something that counts for Randy Couture.

Only thing I think I've ever seen with him were a couple of episodes of The Unit that he guest-starred in.

Wasn't too bad, acctually ... him and Bob Brown transporting a captive terrorist while the rest of the team got stuck as MPs babysitting a pop star on a USO tour.

that is an awesome review right there.:yess:

are we permitted to write reviews and talk about the film now or not yet?

I'm half tempted to say "Do it!" so you get banned until after the release. But I don't want to read any spoilers yet, so feel free to share your views with people on another message board until Friday. And if you like it there, feel free to stay. :wave

Just got back. Fun movie , could have done with a few more locations and it slowed down a little too much in middle but other than that it was a good watch. Great to see Arnold back on the big screen and Van Damme did a great job as the bad guy. He was a really nasty character in this. :lol

that was damn good fun. definitely better than the first in many respects - i think this one knows what it is at its core and just goes with it :rock

better fight scenes, and some great one-liners too.

do any of you need 7.50$ e-movie cash certificate, I have a couple of those red stickers that was put on selected blu-rays last week, I have it for Crank, Transporter 3, War, and Bank Job.

cheesy dialogue and action packed, loved it.....JCVD was awesome

more action in first 15 mins than the whole of first film

head in propeller blade....ouch!!
